I took the express bus from Haneda Airport to the hotel. It went directly to where I wanted to go trip took less than 1 hour. Once I got off the bus I got incredibly lost for around 3 hours walking in circles around the hotel but not locating it. Google maps is not very much help in this location due to how densely populated. I eventually had to ask a policeman who spoke English where the hotel was and he took me right to it. It was one street behind me the whole time and I had been circling it using google maps. Please have the name of the hotel in Japanese when you are attempting to locate it for the first time. I have detailed directions to the hotel from Kamata train station if anyone needs them just send me a message. The rooms are small and clean. Breakfast is Japanese style which is rolls, sausage, salad and some kind of pasta. Hotel is really close to Kamata Station like 10 minutes or less. There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores in the area. The internet worked fine in my room. This hotel represents a good value and a good location if you are trying to save money on lodging.

The hotel is very average, not the best, not the worst, decent hotel in my opinion, the staff were very friendly and polite! rooms are a bit small but equipped with everything we needed . I would recommend more variety in the breakfast as everyday it was exactly the same thing (hot dogs). The location was good, the area is nice with loads of options for food and the train station just a 5 minute walk.

This hotel kindly received packages sending to me by post before checking in (not all hotels have this service). Many people reviewed that the breakfast is very little. I totally disagree as there were bread & croissant, sausages, bananas, salad and many kind of drinks including coffee. I can have big breakfast here available from 0500 - 1000 hours! The receptionist were more than happy to find any information for you. This service is quite unusual as they were like visitor information centre staff! It is one of the best value in the area as well. I would like to thank all staff of this hotel for their kindness and help. The only bad thing was the smell of someone smoking on my floor during my last night in there. It was a non-smoking floor. I understand that the hotel staff cannot control bad customers.

The rooms are very small. At the reception, they are friendly but their english is very limited. The breakfast is included in the price but the quality is very low. It is just enough to feed your stomach. I've booked this hotel because I had an early flight from Haneda. Usually, I stay in hotel near Shinagawa station. It is finally more convenient to stay at Shinagawa as you have direct train to the airport.

This hotel was marketed as 4 stars but is VERY far from a 4 star experience. It is located in a seedy red light district, though is quite close to Kamata station. Service was good and friendly-- I had to get someone to turn on the air conditioning because the remote was in Japanese, and as a woman traveling alone, I very much appreciated that they sent up a female to help. The hotel is clean but rooms are tiny and the bedding was of really low quality. The bathroom was really small, so much so that the faucet fixture on the sink also controls the shower. Nice toiletries and decent internet. But I think I was overall underwhelmed by Tokyo hotels and this was no different.

Stayed here for 4 nights in may. The staff were very friendly and happy to assist with any questions we had. The room was small as are most in Tokyo but very clean and had all of the essentials. Great location, it's only a 5-10 minute walk from the JR station kamata.

Regarding the plus points of this hotel, it is very conveniently located near JR Kamata station and is a perfect transit for tourist attractions. The staff is very helpful and courteous and arranged for an English translator even if they did not understand English. The hotel is also reasonably priced and Wifi speed is decent. Regarding the breakfast it was adequate but lacked variety and the hotel does not provide Lunch or dinner room service and you need to check out on the nearby restaurants. What was unexpected was the lack of locker facility and complimentary water which is common across hotels. But overall a decent hotel.

We stayed 2 weeks here, close to Kamata Station & very clean. Free breakfast from 5am - 10am. Free WiFi & free use of their washer/dryer. They have excellent customer service, front desk very helpful & they always greet you. The maid do an excellent job & they always greet you. We paid $120 daily. Room & bathroom is small, they only have wall hooks no dresser. We are hardly in the room so a small room was okay. The best benefits is their friendly staff, easy to communicate with. If you prefer a huge rooms you will pay starting $300 plus a night in Tokyo. Our friend that lives in Tokyo found this place, we usually stay at Grand Panex Hotel, but they always screw up our reservations & their staff is not friendly at all.

The hotel is not new, but is very clean and the staff are helpful. The breakfast is very simple, but is good. Less than 10 minutes walking from the Kamata Station, but if you wanna buy or eat something, you can easily find something very, very close from the hotel. Also, the access to the laundry is helpful for those who's making a long trip, but you have to use your own laundry soap.

We stayed in Urbain for 2 days while we explored Tokyo. While it wasn't inside main tourist district in Tokyo (like Shibuya, Shinjuku etc.), I have to say that the hotel was not a bad choice at all. It takes about 30-45 minutes (really just any kind of commute anywhere in big city) to get into town depending where you want to go, and it was only 5 minutes walk from Kamata JR. Most JR ride takes about 300yen max so the amount you save from hotels in Tokyo is totally worth it. It's really not that expensive for this hotel for the price you're paying The hotel also has tons of izakaya for your late night munchies, so that's always great. Hotel staff speaks decent English so that's not a problem. JR Kamata has a supermarket downstairs as well, so we stock up loads of food for our late night munchies beside the yakitori that we ate. Overall I'd say the commute is worth the $100 you save from staying in the expensive areas in Tokyo. There's really nothing I can complain about the hotel.
