Tokyo Inn is basically 2 hours via train and metro away from Narita. If you just want a stop over hotel look at a metro map of Japan and pick a hotel that is not the other end of Tokyo. There is a trick with the metro and you should make sure you are on the correct line as the tokyo inn is on a dog's leg line.
As a hotel no complaints. Neat clean. Super small room. Convenience store across road. Resturant closed by time jet lag munchies kicked in.
Breakfast interesting fusion of western items cooked in non western manner. This may be standard in Japan ??

Great comfortable bed, English speaking staff

Pros:
1) Good value hotel.
2) Not sure if just tired, but we've all had very pleasant and uninterrupted sleep on our hotel bed from the 2nd night.
3) Clean room; hotel staff cleans the room everyday (we can safely leave our items in the luggages in the room).
4) Very near Magome station.
5) There is a reasonably-priced restaurant (Coco's) on the 1st floor and a nearby convenience store in front of the hotel.
6) Staff are friendly and nice. Can speak English.
7) Free wifi.
Cons:
1) Some people who are not used to Japanese semi-hotels or inns would comment that the room is a bit small.
2) On the first night, the room was uncomfortably warm due to airconditioning system. We have inquired about this and it just so happened that the airconditioning system was scheduled to be changed from warm to cool from our 2nd night (it was already late spring that time). Not sure how the hotel determines this schedule, but I think the hotel should be able to check whether airconditioning system should be switched to warm or cool depending on current weather/temperature information.
3) No English guidelines and information inside the room (e.g. how to operate TV, how to call information desk or another room, how to check-out, etc).
4) Some staff knows only very little English. We have arrived around 45 minutes early of check-in time. It was a bit difficult to explain to the staff that we would like to leave our bags in the hotel first while we eat lunch. (We eventually were able to communicate the request through gestures and mimes.)
5) Other than the restaurant on the 1st floor and the convenience store in front, there are no other choices nearby on where to buy food or where to eat.

A typical budget hotel in japan. The receptionist is friendly. The room is clean. But nothing to see within the vicinity of the hotel except their restaurant and a convenience store nearby. They dont allow early check-in. Overall our stay is good.

Medium sized rooms (for westerns), good housekeeping. Personnel really helpful. Very well situated, close to public transportation. And the best advantage of the hotel is the price; For an expensive mega city like Tokyo you will find the prices very very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Free shuttle bus from both international and domestic terminals; hotel is closed to the airport, about 5 minutes driving; room is decent and clean with A/C, wi-fi, mini fridge, TV, and everything you can ask for; two styles of breakfasts -- Japanese and American are included; you can get a night gown pajamas, a comb, a set of toothbrush, and a razor to use free of charge; close to 7-11, Lawson, and Family-Mart; hotel is very close to walk to Daishibashi bridge to see Tama River; overall, I would highly recommend this hotel

Finding accommodation in Tokyo in July on very short notice is kind of impossible. Having tried all the places where we actually wanted to stay, The Tokyo Inn was pretty much the only option left. The hotel is a bit worn down, but it is a real hotel and really not a bad choice. It is a little bit out of the way, but let's face it, you WILL be doing a lot of traveling no matter where you stay in Tokyo. The Tokyo Inn is good value. We might return.

The Tokyo Inn is conveniently located right next to the North exit of Magome station on the Toei subway line, so has fairly fast connections to all the main Tokyo attractions. Because it is outside the centre it can often be found at a much better rate (and has on-site car parking for a daily fee if anyone is mad enough to want to drive there!)

Rooms are very small and were OK except for a very noisy motor in the bedside alarm clock that cannot be unplugged (so I ended up sleeping the wrong way round on the bed). There's a small bath/toilet and fridge provided. Reception was friendly although, as is normal, would not allow you to check in before 3pm, although they will look after your luggage - if you have time to kill, I would recommend seeking out the Ikegami Honmonji Temple complex about 25 minutes walk away - there are plenty of free, English language maps in reception which will show you how to find it.

The hotel is above a Coco's family restaurant which serves a decent Western/Japanese style buffet breakfast, ideal before setting out on a long day's sightseeing in Tokyo. Their evening menu is less interesting (mainly faux-Italian food) but it's convenient; the Inn also provides a list of nearby restaurants by genre, with the usual choice of C-stores within 10 minutes' walk.

If using the Toei line, note that not all trains run through to central Tokyo and going South to the hotel it's often best to take a Haneda train to Sengakuji (A07) then pick up a shuttle to Magome.

I stayed at the Tokyo Inn for a week (first week in June 2018). Facilities were clean, room has air conditioning, TV, android mobile phone (which was really useful for finding our way around Tokyo). When we had niggles, we reported them to the front desk (who were friendly) and they were dealt with issues promptly. The rooms are served by complimentary wifi so you can use your own devices in the rooms.

Very nice, clean, and friendly environment. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Room was small, but all space was perfectly calculated for most efficient use. Exactly enough room under the bed for airline size pull luggage. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is walking distance from train station, eating places, & a bit of shopping. If you want to taste the culture, the hotel breakfast is excellent.

Stayed here for three nights. Clean room; firm mattress; small room but sufficient for two persons and a short stay. Good wifi service. While the staff are friendly with greetings there was only 1 person at the front desk who spoke even a few words of English. The lobby is small by standards and huge crowds were present during the early morning rush hour to breakfast and at the dinner hour. Directly across from the hotel are several restaurants and a convenience store.
