Stayed here for a night during a group trip. Hotel has clean, but tiny rooms. Reception personnel speaks poor English but is very, very friendly. No breakfast included. Good location, about a 10 minutes stroll to Shinjuku station! I recommend it for flexible travellers.

The hotel is very close to JR Shinjuku station and the staff are kind. In the reception there is a coffee machine that you can use for free and it is great! The room is really little and claustrophobic and 2 people with luggage can have trouble to manage their things inside it!

In short; good value, clean place to rest your head - nothing more. Anyone looking for luxury, or somewhere to spend a lot of time, go elsewhere. Those looking to spend their days out and about, this is basically the Japanese version of a Premier Inn. The rooms themselves are *teeny tiny* - just enough room for a bed, and...

First time staying at Mystays Nishi Shinjuku, and I would say that I probably would be choosing this hotel for Tokyo trips in future ! :) You can easily locate this hotel after exiting from D5 exit of Shinjuku station, located in the back alley but yet you can still access to the main part of the Shinjuku shopping areas...

If you prefer to think of a hotel as just a place to sleep for the night, as long as it is clean and in a good location, then this is a great pick. It is well placed in Shinjuku to explore that district. If you like to walk, it is relatively easy to navigate around the main roads (or...

When travelling to Tokyo solo, I always find myself coming back to this hotel. I think my most recent stay would be my fourth visit. When I visit Tokyo I'm really juts looking for somewhere to rest a weary (regularly druken) head after a long night on the town. Mystays in the perfect location to access from either the east...

It is a nice hotel especially for you who are travelling alone as the room is so tiny :) The quite environment help you to sleep well. The location near Shinjuku station is the advantage. Lot of small local restaurants in the surrounding area is also a plus point of this hotel.

Yes the rooms are tiny but they are adequate and comfortable. (And the window opens!) The staff are very friendly and helpful. Self service laundry was much appreciated. But most importantly the location is amazing walking distance to Shinjuku station and endless choice of food and shops but in a quieter street. Very Very good value

My room was typically Japanese small. Well maintained but not big enough for more than one person. Bed was firm, but comfortable and bathroom was well appointed. Close to Shinjuku, ideal for exploring Tokyo, but set back from the street which makes it easier to sleep. Surrounded on all sides by small local restaurants, perfect for sampling local cuisine. Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
