We have just checked in and we are so disappointed. I had read all the reviews and were expecting a five star hotel. Maybe from the 1980s. The bathroom is pink. The beds are hard and bedding looks tired. The carpet is stained and smells of smoke despite being on a non smoking floor. It's a great location and staff...

We booked 3 "superior" rooms here for 3 nights for our adult family. The hotel is in a great area, Shinjuku has many good restaurants, shops & tourist sites. The hotel is a short walk to Shinjuku station (from the rear exit) which is very convenient too. Lots of great local restaurant meant we didn't actually eat at the hotel....

For a first timer to Tokyo (Japan for that matter!) this hotel was beautiful, central to the trains, food, nightlife, shopping etc... would defiantly stay here again! Our room was clean and spacious with a view of the city and on a clear day Mt Fuji!

Travelled to Tokyo for the first time with my family last april 2016 and stayed at keio plaza. The hotel is very strategically located as there were a lot of restaurants just outside the hotel. Hooters is just around the block. The rooms are very clean and quite large. We were 5 in our family and easily fit in the...

We stayed here a few years ago and it is a very big hotel. We booked a tour this year and the meeting place was on the second floor of the hotel. It was a bit difficult to find but the hotel staff directed us to the proper area. Be sure to explore the walkway connecting the hotel to the...

Location is quite convenient as it is near eateries and the train station. Room is spacious even with 3 beds placed in the room. Service from the front desk is average, however, the staff from housekeeping were friendly and warm.

I stayed with my family (wife, 8yo and 4yo) over XMAS 2016 for 4 nights. As you would have read, the location of this hotel is excellent. Once you have your bearings it is a quick walk to Shinjuku station and many different restaurant and bar areas. Its excellent for that. The rooms are sizable and are well maintained. Yes,...

When I walked into Keio Plaza, it instantly felt the hotel 'was a bit big for its boots.' The line to check in was lengthy and the process to check in was long. They insisted in escorting all visitors to their room which is not necessary. However eventually I got to my room. As it was the New Years, it...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
