Ibis does what Ibis always does well : BASIC ! Every time I stayed @ Ibis everywhere I get the impression they always do basic straight forward service : no more no less. Even 15 minutes Ibis services guaranteed that they advertised seems lost & hidden nowadays. If you on simple straight forward vacation then choose Ibis because Ibis, especially...

This hotel has a lot to work on to meet the ibis standards. I've stayed in ibis in Seoul, but it is not comparable at all. For the room size, ibis is known as a budget hotel so you cannot expect much. However, cleanliness is the only thing that budget hotel CANNOT be ignored. Out stay was divided into two...

Room smelt of smoke. Reception claimed I booked smoking room. They wanted us to pay another ¥1000 to change into non smoking room. We did not change as I felt not necessary as I was only going to spend one night there and it's not that they did not have a non smoking room. They just wanted us to upgrade....

Here are the few things that I like about the hotel - (1) Location is convenient as it is within 200 meter from the Tokyo Metro station, and also within walking distance to the heart of Shinjuku. However, if you're taking the airport limo to get to Shinjuku - I would advise you to just take a cab if you've...

Great location in Shinjuku close to subway exit. Exception service was good. The room is bigger than other economic hotels in Tokyo. The price is too expensive up to nearly 300 US dollars. 房间大,离地铁近,服务不错。房间比一般的经济型酒店大。价格太贵了,甚至接近300 美元一天!PS:点评系统是SB,不能用英语的点评,还得翻译!

We booked a Double room for 2 persons on Aug 8th 2016 and the Accor automated confirmation came through as for 1 adult (s) The price I paid for was definitely for 2 adults as the price for one adult was lower. I should have followed up with Accor confirming the booking was for 2 adults but it appears that...

Stayed here for two weeks. Well located, about 5 minute walk to West exit Shinjuku station. Lots of restaurants around and close to Memory Lane. About 10 mins walk to Golden Gai (famous for its laneways with very small bars). Shinjuku provides access to the Yamanote line which you will need to get to major attractions in Tokyo. Harajuku only...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
