Please check in around noon time intead of after 8pm. They will have many peoples check in for short rest. Everything is just fine with this hotel except the locker size is too small. You may need to pay more for bigger locker. Get your luggages organize at the changing area instead of inside the capsule room.

The location - near Ueno Park, major metro line and supermarkets. The price was okay when they discounted it - but it was soon jacked up in no time. The English speaking staffs were okay. There is no kitchen to store or prepare your meals, and no place to sit and eat unless you patronize their restaurant. And they don't...

Conveniently located next to Ueno station, which is perfect it you arrive from Narita Airport, this capsule hotel just didn't manage to impress me. First of all because of the overwhelming number of rules that you must follow when staying there, but also because of the rather dirty spa, small lockers (no, your baggage won't fit!), poor English capabilities of...

Central location and futuristic capsule rooms. Designed for those who wish to save money for accommodation and those who don't pursue hotel life. Spacious public bath (incl. open air one and saun), laundry, and restaurant available inside the hotel. A Locker is provided where you can keep your valuables, electric power source available inside the capsule, then you can charge...

Capsule hotels aren't fancy. They are cheap and small. That said, this one does it well. The "rooms" are big enough to have a comfortable sleep, and there's a lounge and even a public hot-spring bath on the roof. FYI: They strictly don't allow women.

Accept only people speaking japanese... They said it is because in case of emergency issues... I think it is because they don't like foreigners...

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.

“If you want to save even MORE money, you can stay in the "Free space", which is basically just a huge empty room with a bit of bedding, and a pile of more bedding to put wherever you want, and some chairs. I'm not kidding, it's so raw. It's really an experience.”
