Lovely room set in a separate building to main hotel. Lots of thoughtful comforts: toiletries, tea and coffee in room, chilled water in minibar. Evening meal in restaurant was tasty and well prepared. Free wifi. Swimming pool. Sun terrace.

There are two, 48km apart and both have a place called the Cheval Blanc. The hotel was very helpful in guiding us in after a long drive and incredibly welcoming when we got there. It is a gem of simplicity and comfort. In a very quiet village so no detectable nightlife but with a food like theirs that wasn't an... More

Everything good, sometimes exceptional. Familiar atmosphere. A little bit in the middle of somewhere but you won't find busloads of tourists here. Not cheap (of course) but certainly not at all overpriced for the quality you'll find on your plates. I can only recommend.

We stayed one night and had a wonderful dinner. They offered different menus with several options and different prices. Our one included entrees, main courses, cheese and desserts. We loved everything. The only thing we were disappointed with was the size of their aperitif cocktails...the room was adequate, it seemed a bit small as it looked like the bathroom and... More

Nice rooms, stayed with a small dog. Nice walks around the village, which is small. WIFI fine. There is a pool, but had no time to use it. Breakfast basic, with nice french breads, croissants with jam, nuttella and yogurts on offer. Stayed on a Monday, so no dinner on offer in the auberge, but in a nearby town, which... More

Excellent Auberge in small village. Most welcoming owners and staff, clean rooms. First rate dinner and breakfast. Peace and tranquillity and no church bells overnight now, as was reported in earlier reviews. All in all an excellent stop over enroute south.

Stopped for a night on the way south. Not far from the main route but very quiet, just what we needed after a long drive. We had a warm welcome and were shown our comfortable and clean room with wifi. We had a relaxing drink in the bar followed by an excellent meal and wine, both of which were very... More

We stayed one night in the Auberge Relais du Cheval Blanc on our journey from Nimes to Roscoff after a horrific experience when our car plunged (without us in it thankfully)to the bottom of a ravine in the Cevennes. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our very comfortable and well equipped room. There was a tea/coffee and biscuit facility... More

Stopped here for an evening meal and were given a very warm welcome. Limited English spoken by the staff but enough to guide us through the menu. The service and the food were excellent and fantastic value. If you are in the area do yourself a favour and give it a go. Out of the 15 restaurants we went to... More
