We spent the most wonderful week at Hotel Petit Son Arnau. This boutique hotel, which only has a few rooms, is situated in a beautiful converted farmhouse and feels more like staying in a private villa (except with the five star service and delicious meals that you'd expect from a bigger hotel).
Susan and Alex are fantastic hosts and seamlessly achieve the perfect balance of leaving their guests to relax and enjoy themselves and being attentive and helpful whenever anything is needed. From local restaurant recommendations to lending beach equipment, they have it covered, yet somehow still make you feel like you have the place to yourself. It's a special skill!
The rooms and the property are spotlessly clean and decorated beautifully. We stayed both in a deluxe double (last year) and a suite with terrace (this year). Both were lovely, with exceptionally comfy beds and Rituals toiletries. Guests have the run of the whole property, including a terrace and infinity pool on the roof and a cosy library. There's a well-stocked honesty bar as well. The hotel also has a spacious bike garage which is great as it is ideally situated for accessing some of Mallorca's best cycling routes. And Susan and Alex are always on hand with bottles of ice cold water for anyone brave enough to tackle them in the heat!
Breakfast is first-rate, with a wide choice on the menu, plus fresh juices, smoothies, freshly made pastries and delicious coffee - the most perfect start to every day!
Petit Hotel Son Arnau is situated in a little village with some excellent local restaurants, so is perfect for anyone wanting a few days of total relaxation. If you want to go to the beach then you'll need a car (there is secure parking on site), and with its position, you'll find a great choice of beaches within 30 minutes on the road.
We absolutely loved this hotel, and cannot recommend it enough for anyone looking for a wonderful easy base for a week of cycling or exploring, or simply as a retreat away from the world. Thank you so much Alex and Susan for another unforgettable week! We will be back soon!!

My husband and I had a lovely experience and stay at Son Arnau. Such a beautiful property with a very cosy atmosphere. Alex and Susan, the hosts, did not hesitate to upgrade us to the suite knowing it was not booked! This is was a wonderful surprise!
The B&B is very well equipped, the breakfast is made with love every morning, the room, bathroom, bed... are decorated with so much love - it was truly a great stay. Thank you ❤️

If you are looking for a small but beautiful boutique hotel to base yourself to explore Majorca, then stop looking as you have found it. We loved our 5 day stay here in the junior suite, the hotel is in an old gorgeous building with a lovely pool looking out across the Majorcan countryside. The welcome we received on arrival from owners Alex and Susan was the warmest we have experienced across our travels and nothing was too much trouble for them. The junior suite was huge, with a massive bathroom including jacuzzi, lovely views up to the church in Selva and a very comfy bed. It also had a tv and DVD player, with plenty of DVDs to choose from in the library area. Breakfasts were lovely down on the terrace in the morning and we enjoyed the evening meals we had as well. The hotel has a car park attached round the back as well so no need to park on the street. Selva is a really pretty small Majorcan town and the picturesque square is just a 5 minute walk away and is a great place for a drink and people watching. As I said though, the hotel is small, with just 8 rooms and the reception isn’t staffed all day, so if you want a big hotel with room service on tap this isn’t for you. If intimate small boutique hotels with exceptional service is more up your street, then this is definitely the place for you, we loved it and will certainly be back!

My fiancé and I stayed for 5 nights and absolutely loved it. It is a high quality boutique hotel close to the centre of Selva village. The owners, Alex and Susan, are lovely and extremely accommodating hosts. On some nights of the week you can eat in the hotel, and every time we did the food was exceptional and great value (highly recommended). The infinity pool offers stunning views across the island, and is a fab spot to unwind after a hike or bike ride. Overall a fantastic hotel.

This is an absolutely beautiful boutique hotel. Alex and Susan are impeccable, friendly and helpful hosts - there for anything at all that you need, but never in your way. Our rooms were just incredible, from the beautiful cave-like bathroom to the tiny details of wall hangers for towels. You feel like you’re in the most tranquil surroundings, and having been to many a boutique hotel around the world, I’m struggling to think of a more fabulous infinity pool with a view. This is the hotel to go to in Mallorca. No hesitation for a second visit.

A truly memorable stay at Finca Don Arnau; Susan and Alex were extremely welcoming from the beginning and ensured our stay was extremely special throughout. The location is perfectly tucked away in a beautiful spot in the mountains which lends itself to some of the best sunrises and sunsets we have ever seen. We stayed for 4 days at the start of January, needing space, needing respite, needing calm. I had done my research and this place sounded perfect. It is beyond that. I had read the reviews of Susan and Alex's beautiful hotel in Selva, and it lived up to every wonderful word, and so you think - can I add anything else to this, to the beautiful setting, the kind hospitality, the delicious breakfast? The answer is yes. I have been very fortunate to stay in lots of beautiful places and lots of special hotels. It hasn't made me complacent, it has made me both appreciative and picky, in equal measure. This place shines. It is joyous. Alex and Susan are special, thoughtful, welcoming, interesting. They care. They pay attention. We talked at breakfast with both Alex and Susan, on food, the island, education, life, changing lives. They were stimulating and natural and generous. I wanted to know about restaurants - in January on the island it can be tricky. Susan listened, advised, researched, phoned. Booked. Sorted. Brilliant. Already reserved to go back. Hotel Petit Son Arnau is the ultimate hidden gem. Having just returned from a long weekend of tranquillity, calm, and serene escapism I defy anyone to hang on to any stress or worries when you’re here! The view from the infinity pool is gorgeous, the enormously comfy beds are divine and the breakfast menu extensive. Everything has been thought of. The service was discrete but impeccable, the original architectural features are utterly gorgeous and there are so many hidden extra touches from the artwork to the bathroom products & accessories. What a wonderful intimate hotel. Exceptionally well run by the owners, both being extremely friendly and helpful.
Rooms well maintained, clean and comfortable. The pool being an added benefit. Dinner prepared by the hosts was nicely presented and tasty. The location while inland is close to other towns and about a 30 drive to the coast. It is also a good location for cyclists who want to venture to various centres with routes being relatively flat. We really enjoyed the area being less touristy and more in touch with the local environment. Would we stay here again? Without a doubt!

The perfect micro-boutique hotel, set in lovely village, with highly personalised yet professional service from owners Susan and Alex, views for miles from terraces, pool and room alike and great range and execution of breakfast items. Tried avocado toasts with eggs, pancake stack, eggs Benedict and continental (toast, home made granola with yogurt plus fruit bowl) and all were excellent. Bike friendly (secure garage) with Ross Rent just yards away so perfect for cyclists. Had one very good dinner at the hotel but otherwise enjoyed restaurants in the village or a drive away. Wonderful stay!

Yes there are a couple of lovely restaurants in walking distance. Beautiful place. Well recommend it
They do & it works really well.
No not near the beach as the hotel is more in the center of the island. Once you relax by the beautiful and quiet pool you might not miss the beach
