We arrived to a lovely warm welcome from the owner. We stayed in the garden lodge with our dog. It has everything you need and is very comfortable and extremely clean. We loved the kind gesture of the dog biscuits/muffins and bottled water. There's forest walks a few yards up the road. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of it....

This was a last-minute decision to stay in the Forest for the night so that I could arrive early the next morning at my mum's house nearby for her birthday. Ferndale House was in a quiet location just minutes away, and was easy to find. I was warmly welcomed late in the evening after a long, long journey by the...

I booked this as I had planned a mini vacation, mountain in Wales and the Forest of Dean. I booked though hotels.com mainly because of the easy and my laziness. I arrived covered in mud (of course it decided to rain that day!) wasn't a problem at all. Not even an eyebrow raised! Room was very clean and well presented....

Perfect location for walking in the Forest of Dean with our two large dogs. The self catering cottage is very dog friendly, with laminate floors, a garden area and very warm and cosy. Owners Andy and Christine are perfect hosts, attentive, easy going and extremely helpful. It was a lovely week in a spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm cottage. Highly...

Stayed a single night on a mountainbiking trip. Got a friendly welcome and The Lodge - plenty of space for me and my bike and very comfortable. And I got a cake! I'd recommend this place and will be back.

We were instantly made to feel very welcome and the room was even nicer than expected. Very good value for money. I'm afraid my memory is awful and their names have slipped my mind but it felt as though both the woman and man we met made every effort to make our stay as nice as possible.
