Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The pub had a roaring fire for a Sunday night and had some real ale on. Perhaps Sunday night is not the best to review a decent pub. Prices were reasonable and the place was clean. There was a few locals coming in and out, one good thing is that it is dog friendly

Visited two nights on the run with friends. Manageress was really welcoming. First night was quiet for a Friday. Next night they had live music and the place came alive. Would definitely ring ahead and see if they have music on. Currently without a chef so no meals available. That said we would definitely return.

We visited for an early evening meal and were really pleased with the food and service. A very friendly place, the food was lovely, we had a chat with some of the locals and the Chef even came to say hello and check we were happy. They were also very helpful in dealing with food allergy needs. Our only regret was finding it on the last day of our holiday not the first or we'd have gone again!

We are a family of 8 staying close by and booked the Colliers Inn for Sunday lunch. Had a lovely meal and delicious desserts. My dads wife was struggling as we walked there and she has a very bad hip and knees. The owners offered to drive her back to our accommodation. Not only that he got a minibus to take us all back and wouldn’t accept any payment. Service way above and beyond. What amazing service and great people

Visited on a Friday evening at 1730. Clearly not set up as a restaurant, only a few locals and staff family present. Tables not set and no menus. Kid’s pasta was awful, congealed and chewy. Wife’s chicken burger was ok as was my lambshank. Salads were fresh. I don’t understand why this is listed as a restaurant.

We booked the Colliers for Sunday lunch for a family group of 26. We were staying in a property locally for the weekend to celebrate my husband’s 50th Birthday. I was so impressed with the hospitality, the lovely food and those personal touches that make such a difference. They even pick up the Grandmas in their minibus! Such a great find! Thank you Nikkie & Team x
