We stayed 3 weeks and because we farm sheep here in Canada, it was really interesting to Talk to Ally and Susan about the sheep and dogs and how they farm there. The setting is absolutely beautiful, hills all around you the cottages are luxurious, yet quaint. Loved the whole place and we will definitely stay there again on our...

We had a lovely first wedding anniversary here, such a great place. It felt like we were so far away from anything, but you are actually really close to Edinburgh and not a million miles away from Glasgow. If your after a relaxing peaceful holiday in beutiful countryside then go here.

We stayed here for a last minute break and really enjoyed ourselves. The cottages are on a sheep farm accessed down a long track (probably not advisable in a low sports car but fine for most people). The accommodation was very nice - cosy with log burners and welcoming scones left for us when we arrived. You can walk around...

Spent a week here with friends and it was just lovely. We stayed in the Byre cottage and it was well appointed and cozy. The decor & design was perfect for country life and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Evening walks up the path gave us the most incredible views of the countryside, but several cities & towns were easy...

We stayed in the Steading which is one of three units here and can accommodate four people. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large well fitted kitchen/diner/living area. The accommodation is beautifully appointed with lovely bedding and furniture. The little garden, opening out to the farm and countryside was a real bonus. The setting, in the middle of...

We stayed here as a family. The cottage easily accomadated five adults, there were enough seats in the living room, a huge dining table to sit at and plenty of crockery etc. Close to Edinburgh and an easy drive to many places to visit. The cottage was beautifully clean and aired. The log fire a bonus. We hope to visit...

I highly recommend Eastside. My husband and I returned to the peace and comfort of Eastside Cottages for a week after an interval of eight years. It was just as clean, comfortable, welcoming, and relaxing as we had remembered. We enjoyed building fires in the fireplace and watching the sheep on the hill sides. The location is perfect for taking...

I suppose coming back to visit Edinburgh for the Festival and Scotland after 35 previous years does state that we like it, but much of this joy is down to our revisit every time to this Rolls Royce group of holiday cottages. Every detail for your enjoyment has been and is constantly reviewed , no need to change the situation...

My husband and I arrived for a week stay as part of a longer trip to Scotland. This was the perfect start to our trip to allow us to decompress! Nestled at the base of the Pentland Hills, the fields and hills extend as far as the eye can see. All is available for walking and exploring. The cottages are...

We stayed for a week in the tranquil and cosy cottage called 'The Stable' where we were warmly welcomed with scones and tea, plus a ready-to-go fire. The surroundings were beautiful- nothing but hills and fields. With only a short 20 minutes drive to Edinburgh (bus optional), there's the city to enjoy as well for bars, restaurants and attractions. Fantastic...
