I have stayed here twice. Once cycling from London to Italy and then again, but cycling from Italy to London. It's a very nice hotel and the food is really good. The beetroot soup was totally delicious. It's all a bit quirky but that's no problem and the building is full of charm and character. Our arrival greeting was slighly odd,... More

Nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood situated on a pristine lake with the Alps as a backdrop. Nice rooms the only drawback is that the toilet is a share one. Nice restaurant in the hotel although its a little pricy

The only bad thing? To stay here only forone night, without family and due to my job. I wish i could back in the near future with wife and doughter and enjoy the traditional atmosphere, the lake and mountains and the delicious food. Not many other solutions like this in swirtzerland at the price i have paid. Sure i recomend... More

We opted for the 'lake view room' which was at the very top of the hotel. There are no lifts as it is an old building so you have to carry your cases up 3 flights of stairs. The staff were so friendly, really making you feel at home. We got showed around the hotel and told where we could... More

Quaint little hotel on the banks of Lake Walansee. The owners were very sweet and helpful. Unfortunately we were there on a Monday when the restaurant is shut so cannot review this. Our room was pleasant, overlooking the lake with small ensuite. Very very peaceful and nice comfy beds. Had a lovely continental breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake... More

We stayed at the Flyhof Hotel for just two nights and it was quite a special experience. The hotel's style, with its dark exposed beams, old tiles in the bathroom and up the stairs and traditional-looking furniture, is so appealing. We loved the view from our bedroom window out over the lake. The young couple who own it are friendly... More

The view of the lake from our room was great and in May we were able to leave the windows open at night and enjoy the fresh air. Since the Swiss don't use a/c it might be uncomfortable in July and August. The owner told us the building is 900 years old and it has a lot of charm. Unfortunately... More

this was a last minute trip and we didn't want to stay too far from Zurich but still enjoy a view point and the nice weather. One hour from Zurich you have Weesen, a pleasant little village and our choice of hotel was the Flyhof. Very nice over the phone and during our stay. The breakfast was very good and... More

We loved that this building is over 900 years old, it felt like we were part of the history of the location. The room was nice and big and the location is so beautiful - right by a lake and surrounded by mountains. The only downsides would be a poor internet connection (though at least it was free and still... More

I'll start from my first impression. Due to all kind of problems, we arrived the place at 22:30 !!! And although the kitchen closes officially at 22:00, the manager did not think twice before offering us a full dinner. And what a dinner - wonderful juicy steak. Colourful and rich salad. Great wine. Amazing desert. The rest was not less... More
