Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here on a stopover in Switzerland.

The receptionists were very friendly and efficient.

Our room was good and the beds comfortable although our “city view” wasn’t particularly inspiring (and we couldn’t work the blind initially either).

The restaurant was disappointing - half our order got forgotten and we waited a long time for our food. Despite this the waiter was very apologetic. However it still was quite expensive for the experience.

Parking is very expensive although there are a few free spaces nearby.

Check in was smooth and easy and the clerk was very helpful.
The room was very spacious, the bed was super firm, plenty of electrical outlets (there was even a 110 volt US standard). Thermostat was easy to manage and kept the room comfy. Bathroom had plenty of toiletries. The water pressure was pretty good and lots of hot water. The room had a safe.
Overall positive experience.

Staff were amazing at hotel, very friendly and attentive and great English.

Issue with the hotel is location is right next to main road so very noisy overnight, and is in the middle of nowhere so unable to walk to alternative restaurants and bars.

Hotel was undergoing refurb which we were not advised of in advance so drilling and dust in reception area was a shame. Rooms are tired so refurb is required but room was large and very comfy so will be nice when finished.

Hotel is right next door to indoor water park which was great and kids loved it. Expensive to get in and non swimmers can’t watch so my wife ended up sitting in hotel bar. Hotel could do more to offer discounts or better joint offers. Only offer was for a full day ticket and the park doesn’t justify spending a whole day there so not much benefit.

Tesla chargers on site which was great for us. Big benefit.

All round worked fine for us but we were only there one night and if you wanted to be in Basel you are about 20 mins drive away so wouldn’t work for a city break.

What a great stay we had at this lovely hotel; all staff were amazingly helpful ( allowing us a free checkout of 3pm) . This was great as our flight out of Basel wasn’t until the evening. A special mention must go to a wonderful guy working in the restaurant, who went beyond expectations when providing healthy drinks for a laryngitis sufferer in our party! Sadly I did not get his name, pretty sure it began with a T though! Many thanks again.

nice hotel for families to escape from crowded cities. It has great access to water play. We loved the location which is 10 minutes away from the train station that could connect you to other cities.
I want to give big thank to Martin in the reception who was very helpful and smily.
We were super tired after long trip and we found someone who speaks English, explains well and very welcoming, he helped me and the kids thx a lot to all the team.

Hotel is very dated and not in a great location. It is also under construction that was quite loud during the day. The windows have exterior shutters that make the room dark. I suggest looking for a hotel closer to the city center. Basel has a very nice zoo by the way.

This hotel is run by people with questionable integrity per the other reviews. I've stayed here before without issues but my last reservation was canceled leaving me out in the cold. They claimed all rooms were booked, but the app and website showed rooms for $700 per night. There was no compensation or anything. I would not give this hotel any more business in the future as a long-time Titanium member.

Nice simple hotel with very friendly staff (Cécile at reception went out of her way to make us feel comfortable). Very convenient yogi to Aquabasilea: a door 10m to the elevators opens to their reception. You can go there in bathrobes. Their saunas are amazing.

Lovely hotel and wonderful service - the hotel has been renovated and has a very fresh and clean vibe. Rooms are very comfortable, beds are great! The service is magnificent. We were traveling with a 1,5 y/o and the staff was amazing! They were very sweet towards our little girl and actually sort of playing with her and giving her toys for loan. Most child friendly hotel we have every stayed at!! Easy access to get to the hotel and from hotel to Basel down town city centre. Great location, especially when traveling through to another location (in our case our stay was family in Basel, traveling to Kaprun for ski vacation)
