My Spanish girlfriend and I stayed here on Friday night after flying from London to Madrid and droving 4 hours north to Laguardia. It's a charming hotel, with a nice setting, quaint cellar and the room was nice and spacious. We had a lovely local meal and as we crashed out in bed we found the bed sheets had what... More

When we were planning our trip to La Rioja many places seemed to be centered around Lagrono but I'm glad we came to Laguardia instead. The 13th century town is very small and wonderful to walk around in. After all the noise of the more popular places we had visited it was a nice change. The hotel is very comfortable... More

Very nice hotel. Restaurant decoration is interesting and unique. Food is delicious. There is a wine cellar that is a must. Service is great. Town of LaGuardia is old and quaint.. The plaza balconies were all flowered. Town is the best kept secret of the region.

Unfortunately we dined on an otherwise quiet Sunday night with a group of of 13 Americans (like us) who assumed everyone in the somewhat intimate space wanted to hear every nuance of each of their conversations. So, too loud. Wine and food were mostly quite nice, particularly the octopus special and fried artichoke/shrimp/ham first courses.

This is such a wonderful boutique hotel. Our room was huge, well kept, and had tons of character. It's perfectly located on the Plaza Mayor and has all the amenities you'd need. Still the best part of the stay was the service - particularly within the restaurants. One example - we way-slept-in one day to the point where we missed... More

This is a simply outstanding place to stay in the heart of the old city. The rooms are fabulous ...we had one with an in room jacuzzi / shower. The decor is old traditional and it just fits with the old town where it is located. Afternoons we tended to sit just outside at the entrance where you can enjoy... More

If you want to experience Laguardia then this is a great place to stay. Some reviewers seem miffed that the rooms that open onto the main square can be noisy - what did they expect ? I would call it atmospheric, and for the most part of the night it is quiet. The double glazed doors also keep most of... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel and got very little sleep. The superior rooms are in the front of the hotel above the plaza. The windows are not thick and the noise from the plaza was loud and constant. We could hear and feel everything in the room above. The room was nicely furnished and clean except it only... More

We paid Euro 200/night for a superior room, which is overpriced. Room is large and attractive, with a jacuzzi (but no shower or bath). Windows are on to the main square so very noisy in evening/night as this is an open air bar/restaurant (also lots of internal noise within hotel). Asked for another room, but the only 1 offered had... More

The best meal in Laguardia! We were walking the street and came across this restaurant. We visited the bodega, which was a meandering tunnel/cave to enjoy wine and tapas. Upstairs, is the dining area, which was very nice. The meal was perfect! We still think about the soufflé, and the fish and the wine. Great atmosphere.
