Booked a birthday lunch and if I tell you we were at the table for 3 and a half hours, it will give some indication of what a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable experience it was! The food was excellent as was the service by very friendly staff. They allowed us to bring a birthday cake although the choice of desserts...

We visited the Pelican on a whim after not visiting for a good 5 years and we were so glad we did stop by on a sleepy winters lunchtime. Firstly we received a warm and friendly reception with a lovely table looking out the window. The whole place looked smart and clean and the service was great from the two...

We booked this pub weeks in advance as we knew the food would be excellent - we had family come over from abroad to visit and we were looking forward to a festive night out...! Although it was a week before Christmas, there was no Christmas menu, no atmosphere, no crackers - just the standard menu and average service! Disappointed!...

I asked what time the breakfast window was.... 8:30 onwards..... but I shall be at work before then... oh well! No offer of...

I could previously not fault the food or service but within the last 6 months something has clearly changed. Each visit since has been extremely slow, even when quiet. The staff have not been as...

have eaten at the Pelican several times at lunchtime as it is an ideal halfway point for meeting up with friends. The food and service have always been good and we have never felt rushed. The winter warmer meals on the menu were wonderful. Will continue to meet there in the future.

Booked the table over the phone as there was a large group of us 10 adults and 3 children under 4. We were asked to provide a pre-order, which was no problem at all. we had some special requests which were met with no issues We arrived and had a very warm welcome, food was served as we had asked,...

After cycling the Kennet and Avon canal path from Bath the relaxing and comfortable feel to the pelican inn was well appreciated. The selection of food and speed of service was great. Breakfast the following morning was good too.
