Attended with my partner for a full spa day as anniversary gift, and had 3 treatments (body scrub, massage and facial)
Facilities were extremely clean, and we witnessed them being continuously cleaned through the day. Staff wore masks and covid measures were sensible and well designed so I dont feel that it impacted our stay.
Over all felt very safe/covid secure.
Staff were extremely attentive, polite and nothing was too much trouble.
The treatments were delivered to a high standard and you weren't given a sales pitch for products at the end.

The spa is small (no swimming pool or steam room) but facilities that are there are high quality and in good condition and because of the beautiful surroundings I honestly didn't miss them.

The food was also very good and they were able to cater to my dietary requirements with no stress.

Definitely looking to go back. Thank you for the brilliant day.

We have our wedding booked at Milsoms for 2023 so as a birthday treat, we decided to stay overnight and have a trial use of the facilities ahead of next year.

There was a wedding open day on in The Hangar so it was great to meet some vendors and see how beautiful the room looks lit up and decorated. We also got a tour of all the rooms in the hotel that our guests would be staying in so thank you to the duty manager - really helpful!

We booked a half day spa which was bliss. It’s quite a small, intimate spa with only a sauna and outdoor jet pool but there was only 4 of us using the beautiful outdoor space so it was very peaceful. I do wonder if you’d feel disappointed to not make use of the luxury beds if the weather was poor as it’s not covered. Really great facial treatment and a lovely drinks area. Lunch voucher for the main restaurant included also so while a slightly higher cost for the package compared to other places, I thought it was worth the high quality facilities.

Hotel room was a standard double but perfectly sized and great added extras like the stocked fridge, air con and Elemis products. Very quiet and comfortable.

The absolute best thing about our stay was the delicious food and the service we received. I can’t rave enough about how lovely all our servers were but special mention to Katie in the restaurant, who served us at both lunch and dinner. Genuinely enthusiastic about our wedding, Katie helped us try some wines that we could pick next year and was just so attentive. She really made us feel looked after and is an absolute credit to Milsoms.

We left feeling so pleased and excited with our decision to have our wedding here - gorgeous grounds, fab facilities and very welcoming staff. Can’t wait for next year!

Can I just say we stayed at Kesgrave Hall, room 24 in the White house on Saturday 8th February as a gift with 3 course meal included and breakfast. The rooms itself was absolutely stunning with complimentary soft drinks, the rooms was tasteful clean and the bed magnificent. We had a 3 course meal in the restaurant which excellent service, the meal was absolutely delicious so thank you to the hard working chef's and the waiting staff quick and efficient. After a great nights sleep we had a delicious breakfast. 5 star stay and would recommend buying anyone a gift for here.
Many close locations to the hotel to visit to. Can't wait for the Spa to open.
Thank you to all the staff and for what turned out to be a most excellent weekend.

Room was clean and good tea and fridge facilities (cold soft drinks were complinentary) restaurant not so good waiters in abbundance but they are unable to take your orders instead you have to write your food and drinks order on pieces of paper and hand to them (most bizarre) food was edible but not great breakfast was very disappointing too. hard muffins and dried overcooked bacon. the help yourself table with fruits yoghurt and pastries was much better than anything they cook for you.
The receptionist andrew was fabulous they just need him everywhere then everything would run a lot better

We stayed at Kesgrave Hall for 1 night. The Hall is set in lovely grounds close to Ipswich, it is very conveniently located and there is plenty of parking. In the evening we had an excellent meal in the Bistro Style Restaurant which was obviously popular with local people as it was very busy. We both had fish for the main course and it was truly excellent - both the cooking and the presentation. Service was fairly efficient but not especially friendly.

Unfortunately the whole experience was badly let down by the room. As a treat we had paid a fairly large supplement for a Deluxe room expecting something a bit special. However, the room was small, dark and dingy with very little natural light and no view of the lovely grounds. it was nothing like the pictures on the website and we checked with Reception that we were in the right room to be told that it was a Deluxe room because it had a sofa - which there was barely room for and a separate shower. It also wasn’t in the Main House but in a converted outbuilding some 50mtrs away along a gravel path with no protection from the weather. There was mould on the window frames and the net curtain was dirty. The bathroom was very good but the rest of the room was disappointing and it’s very hard to see how it could be described as Deluxe or could justify the cost.

The included Breakfast in the morning was a mixed bag – the cooked food was ok but the croissant and pastry (one of each) were tiny. Again, service was reasonably efficient but not at all friendly.

Overall our stay was not up to the standard of hotels of a similar level we have stayed in and we won’t be returning to Kesgrave Hall. The staff especially in the Restaurant need to be more friendly.

We stayed for one night in one of the superior rooms. The venue is lovely, contemporary design. The company policy is staff have the choice to wear masks, and as a vulnerable traveller, we asked if we could be serviced by a masked staff member, which they did deliver. The gentleman on reception was very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

The room itself was nicely made up, but was very hot and even on a moderate summer's night, we had to have all windows open and a dyson fan on.

Evening meal we good, high standard, but not fine dining, which the price point suggests you would receive. The duck spring rolls were the best I've ever tasted.

Breakfast was excellent.

Katie the waitress was superb, an asset to the hotel, and made us feel very special during the evening meal, and the young male waiter made breakfast a treat. He wore a mask, socially distanced while we waited to put on our masks.

Overall it was a lovely stay, however the heat in the room overnight wasn't great. Food was lovely. The hotel is charging a luxury price point, but possibly not reaching the delivery level with the furnishings. It's certainly above a very decent hotel, but not luxury. I would return for a meal out, but maybe not to stay overnight.

Exceptional stay, the room, restaurant, food and not least the staff were found to be of a very high standard. The accommodation was spacious and clean with modern attire and an exceptionally large bathroom. Unfortunately, due to the hotel allowing dogs to reside in the rooms, when we first arrived there was a distinct “doggy” smell about the room which had been attempted a disguise by a room defuser. Smokers have to pay a fee to rid the room of their stay, perhaps this should also apply to dog owners or better still don’t allow the dogs to stay in the rooms!
The staff were more than helpful, friendly and effective, from reception through to the restaurant. We ate in the restaurant on the three nights, on each occasion the food was well presented with exceptional flair, imagination and flavour.
Overall, we had a very good stay and we would come again, hopefully, the “doggy” smell will not be experienced on our next visit.

We were booked for 2 nights and decided to leave after one.
Our room Room 2 is simply too noisy and floorboards are just too creaky and awful. The room is nothing special for the price £230 per night…We tried to take a rest in the afternoon and had screaming kids running outside our room followed by outside our window.
When asked about the noise level we were told that by 9pm it quiets down…it’s now 9.43pm and still as noisy…
Our birthday dinner spoiled by 1 hour waiting for it and by the time it got to us my Sheperd’s pie was so dry and Mac’ and cheese was cold only the cheese on top was hot….It was far from eatable and I send it back, the sausage and mash dish had far too much mustard…that too wasn’t eaten.
We then ordered a cheese platter who turned up with chutney as a base and all the cheese on top…totally disgusting…my partner had to reorder the same platter without chutney but then the cheeses were far too cold…
We decided by then not to extend our stay as too be honest the staff are far too busy to be concern about our welfare or the fact that our birthday celebration has just been totally spoiled by the lack of attention and poor service…
When I discussed my issues with the front desk and waitress on duty she was far from concerned and to be honest infuriated me even more that she wasn’t one bit bothered.I also cancelled my spa treatment as it was no big deal that we were leaving one day early.
As frequent visitors to Milsoms hotels this was a complete let down and we shall not return.

Took advantage of the offers in August for a 2 night stay with relative. On arrival no sign to say we could drive down to the hotel level with luggage. Going towards the door with suitcases a lovely young man asked if we were checking in, he then smiled at left us to it. It was the height of the heat wave and we were shown to a room that was doing an imitation of an oven, on complaining we were given a room with A/C. We were told that this room was an upgrade, but when looking out of the window the view we had was of the outbuildings one of which house the rubbish bins. The whole hotel seems to have been furnished by Salvage Hunters, didn't seem to go with the lovely country house and grounds. The bathroom was a definite 5 star, it was immaculate and sensibly designed. Bed linen, except for the pillows was also 5 star. Then came the restaurant, and as former hospitality employees we were immediately aware than there was no organisation whatsoever. Breakfast consisted of overcooked bacon, toast that had just been shown the toaster and previously frozen small pastries, I almost tried a pan au chocolat but it crumbled to dust in my hand. I will say this and kudos to the kitchen for the best fish and chips I've ever had with a tartar sauce to die for. There is no lift and this was not pointed out at booking, I noticed the one ground level guest room is placed in a corridor between 2 toilets and then on to the kitchen. Also if I had a problem with stairs I would have to go out of the back door and round to the front to eat. The grounds are magnificent but the hotel is just not worth the money and attention to detail is not there. Really disappointed.

We attended a Christmas party evening in the hanger which was very nice and well organised , but things started to fall apart in the morning.

I had left a gift still wrapped on the bar the evening before and when asking the manager , who was a dark haired man , he was very rude and with out looking just kept saying no , nothing in lost property , my preferred outcome would have been for him to have checked incase someone put it there with out him knowing and to ask for a description and advise if it turned up that he would contact me. I actually told him that I felt like he was inconvenienced by me asking him, I thought he was a horrible man.

And breakfast ... well things have changed since we last stayed as breakfast is now buffet style , we got there at 8:10am and things were not even ready , at £27 per person I'd like it cooked fresh and brought to me as the buffet feels more toby carvery.

And in the bedrooms the shampoo and conditioner is in the shower attached to the wall , so if you have a bath you can't access them, why not just get mini ones?

What about accessible rooms
Answer from MilsomsPR

Good Morning, there is one accessible room on the ground floor of the main building as well as dedicated parking and toilet facilities. Access is through the main hotel entrance which doesn't have any steps. The restaurant and lounge areas are all on one level. There are also six rooms on the ground floor away from the main building along a wide gravel path. Please call us on 01473 333741 to discuss further.
