We stayed five nights, visiting Cambridge and Hitchin areas. So very well situated for this purpose. Our room was very nice and the breakfasts were excellent. But best of all was the welcoming and friendly nature of our hosts. The house is in one part of the "old farmyard" and was built in 2011; so everything is modern. Other buildings...

We received a warm and friendly welcome To The Old Farm Yard B&B by our hosts Sophie and Robin Wedd. Positioned in the centre of Melbourn village, their home is in a quiet location with a beautiful garden. The B&B has large, warm comfortable rooms with en-suite shower room, tea making facilities and books of local interest for visitors to...

Close to the church and wedding reception we were attending. Most welcoming, friendly and accommodating hosts. Spacious, spotlessly clean room with tea and coffee facilities. Lovely en-suite shower room. Delicious breakfast with fresh laid eggs. Situated in charming village with reasonable pub just up the road. Would not hesitate to recommend this Band B and certainly our first choice whenever...

Sophie and Robin are fantastic people and the accommodation is clean quiet and comfortable. I think I have stayed 6 times now. The breakfast is great. Their aren't many places to eat on your doorstep (walking) but plenty if you go a little further afield. The Dolphin pub serves food which is ok but Sheene Mill serves food as well...

What a lovely bed and breakfast. A beautiful, bespoke building. We had a really lovely, spacious, comfortable room and a brilliant en-suite shower room. Breakfast was delicious, in the big breakfast room overlooking the grounds. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, with a lovely dog. I would definitely stay again. We stayed at The Sheene Mill for a wedding the night...

What a wonderful, first class, all round B & B!! Sophie and Robin were just the most amazing and friendly hosts during our stay and nothing was too much trouble for them. The house itself was beautiful and was surrounded by an enormous garden. Our rooms were modern and spotlessly clean, the beds so comfy and the en-suite facilities just...

We had the pleasure of staying at The Old Farm Yard on the 28th August whilst attending a wedding at Sheen Mill...We arrived @ 1pm and were greeted by Sophie and Robin with a welcome cup of tea before heading up to the spotlessly clean and well equipped bedrooms to get ready for the wedding...the walk to Sheen Mill was...

As a seasoned international traveller, this is the best B&B I have ever experienced. It surpasses the quality and service you would hope to find in a first class hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts and everywhere is immaculately clean and fresh. I look forward to my next visit there.

We stayed with Sophie and Robin for one night on the 20th May 2016 prior to my sister's wedding at South Farm. This is simply a superb B&B and I can highly recommend it. It is easy to find with a sat nav, there is ample parking and the garden is huge, which was perfect for our 2 year old...

“The Old Farm Yard is new, beautifully designed and spacious so you will have a high degree of privacy. It doesn't have (what I think of as) the feel of a B&B, - more like a charming small hotel.”
