Nestled between two streams and beautiful gardens Very comfortable room and clean. The food was exceptional one of the best meals I've ever had in Spain We had an early start and the owners kindly got up early to prepare a lovely breakfast. Nothing seemed too much trouble.

At this restored manor house, there are so many nice touches. From the materials used in the hallway and in the spacious rooms, to the quality room service menu, to the breakfast - part buffet and part service. It's an object lesson to anyone (like this reviewer) who has a property to restore and is thinking of doing something similar....

We had a magnificent start of the year in La Casona: after a food night on a clean and spacy room, Rosa and Chema provided us with a super breakfast and nice tips to explore the area. We did some good hiking around. And in the evening we found it a perfect place to relax: good food, quiet environment, relaxing...

This family run hotel is a delight. Outstanding service by the lovely Rosa makes this the perfect base from which to explore One of Spain's most beautiful regions. The hotel is very comfortable and the little extras such as laundry make this five star.

We spent three nights here in late June. The whole place is very tranquil with well kept gardens. The owners speak good English and are very helpful, suggesting places to go and things to see and do, and the staff are friendly. Our room was large and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable seven foot wide double bed and a spacious...

La Casona is a beautiful small hotel full of character and style in a lovely rural setting about 30 minutes from Santander ferry terminal. We stayed there for the second time in mid-June. The building has been restored in splendid fashion and the bedrooms are absolutely wonderful and very spacious. The owners are really warm and friendly and nothing is...

We stayed here for just one night as a stopover (would have loved to stay longer). The hotel has been lovingly restored by the owners and is just glorious, our double room which had a 7" bed had been beautifully decorated and furnished, the bedlinen was of a very good quality as were the towels, pillows were very comfy too....

The gorgeous, well-restored old building is a joy just to be in. The attention to detail has produced a stunning hotel, with rooms you want to live in - like something from a magazine. The owners are friendly and helpful, the food is good, the gardens as lovely as the hotel. The location is superb, nestled among the mountains but...

We needed somewhere to stay for our final night in Spain, not too far from Bilbao port, and reading good reviews of this hotel, it seemed a good option. What can we say ………….. this is a very, very special hotel and we wished we had been able to stay longer. The house has been lovingly restored with a very...

Despite being located close to the edge of a little urbanisation, this place is in a different world, Sitting in its own large garden hemmed in from the road by a river and a little wood and a very narrow access bridge. In the evening the road is very quiet and the whole house peaceful. The building and garden is...
