We got married at West Tower last month and it was honestly the wedding of our dreams. West Tower was the perfect venue, so much so that we knew we didn’t have to look at any other venues and booked it on our visit look around. All staff were so accommodating and went above and beyond for us; nothing was too much trouble for them and they worked tirelessly to cater to our every wish. Maria was in regular contact and always endeavoured to reply to emails almost instantly. Staff made us feel at ease in the build up to our wedding and on our wedding day. Josie was our designated member of staff on our wedding day and she went above and beyond to ensure the day ran perfectly. I thought of things on the day and she had already thought of it before me, she is amazing at her job. She was always in our eye sight if we ever needed her at any point. She is fantastic and a true perfectionist and she made our day so special, we’re so grateful. All of our guests commented on the beautiful food on the day; they loved every course and are still talking about it now! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The whole day was magical and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue or fantastic staff. We’re so grateful that you delivered the wedding of our dreams.

We got married at West Tower on 19th August. From the moment we pulled up to the open day we knew West Tower was for us. The building and grounds are absolutely beautiful, the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Two weeks on, we’re still getting texts from guests remarking on how much they enjoyed everything about our day.
The Cristal Suite is a great addition to West Tower, myself and my bridesmaids loved getting ready in such beautiful surroundings. All our guests who stayed over were very impressed with their rooms, and the bridal suite… wow!
The whole day ran seamlessly. The food was delicious, the staff were so attentive and every single one of the suppliers we used, recommended by West Tower, were brilliant. Despite planning a wedding during a pandemic and having to rearrange, West Tower still made sure the build up was special. We loved the menu tasting day!
Extra mentions to Maria for all her help in the lead up and to Josie who worked so hard on our day to make sure everything was perfect.

Had our wedding here on the 5th of March, I can not thank the staff enough. The whole day was perfect and every guest commented how beautiful the venue was. Maria was fantastic in keeping us informed on the run up to the wedding and was on hand to answer any questions we had. Josie was absolutely a star in looking after us on the day, she ensured the guests were in the right places and nothing was too much trouble even if it did mean running up the stairs to collect stuff from our room on multiple occasions! Everyone commented on how beautiful the food was and family and friends are still mentioning it now. The rooms are beautiful as is the grounds.

Attended son’s wedding here in October, lovely country house setting with outstanding views, rooms comfortably decorated. The problem stems when trying to move around the venue, to access the function suite where the ceremony takes place wheelchair users don’t go in the front door but rather down a side path and into a side room from this you can get to the main room, to access the bar whilst the function room is prepared for the wedding breakfast wheelchair users have to go outside across the car park down a zigzag ramp in through two lots of double doors and into the bar lounge where there is a flight of steps to the bar area, don’t get me started on access to the disabled toilet down there. The room for wheelchair users is a converted outbuilding was big, nicely furnished but don’t expect wider doorways. This is not a low priced venue so do think they could install a simple lift which would benefit parents with proms as well as those with impaired mobility . Also food served on the day was not hot and it’s the first time I have ever left a lemon meringue it was like a brick.

Good Morning, Thank you for your review. We are sorry you felt we did not cater for your needs on the day of your son's wedding. As a listed building, we are limited with the changes we can make. There is nowhere in the main building that will take you from the ground floor to the 2nd floor directly, in order to install a lift, hence the reason we had the cottages converted, created ramps and a flat access to the ballroom. We have had guests in the past without issue, but if we were unable to cater for your requirements, we do apologise. Our couples all have showrounds, before a booking is confirmed, where we do point out all access points for all guests. We never have complaints about our food, so were shocked to note that your food was not hot and that the lemon meringue was hard, if we were made aware on the day we would have rectified immediately. We will pass comments onto our Head Chef. We are glad you enjoyed your son's day and have genuinely taken your comments on board.

We attended our daughter and new son in laws wedding on Saturday 22/02/2020,from entering the venue Saturday morning to leaving on Sunday was perfect. The staff treated our daughter like a princess,and nothing was too much trouble they attended to her every need, as for us as guests if we would have been royalty they couldn't have treated us any better. The wedding flowed like a dream due to all the work the wedding organiser did at west tower. The food was excellent as my wife does not generally eat the food at weddings on this occasion she ate all the food. At night the DJ had everyone dancing the floor was never empty. Our room in the main house was beautiful clean spacious and very comfortable. In the morning went down for breakfast plenty of choice for breakfast full English,cereal etc. Staff were very attentive asking was everything ok and would we like hot drinks,which we got in a timely manner. Could not fault west tower venue and staff were exceptional at all times during our stay, I would definitely recommend west tower to anyone who wants a flawless,seamless well thought out beautiful wedding. Thank you west tower for making our little girls dream day extremely special and for looking after all our family during our stay there.

We attended for a wedding which was very nice. My beef was the room ( in the stable block) it was hideous!! For starters no bedside lights! I never sleep well as I’m due a hip replacement so wake up in pain and I just need to have a read and go off again.. couldn’t do that here as it was very bright spots in the ceiling and that was that.. breakfast was like a scrum half! Staff just not attentive enough tables not cleared food ran out and we had to ask numerous times to have it replenished! We paid £127 a night! My daughter is getting married in a lovely hotel in the Lancashire valleys soon rooms in the hotel are £90 a night .. if ever I have to attend a wedding here again we will either stay elsewhere or drive home

I have heard West tower described in many different ways during my years here and no one has ever used a word even close to the word "hideous" before, I know how upsetting this was for the beautiful couple that welcomed you here for their special day to read your description of their chosen venue, which to them was absolutely perfect (their review is above entitled "Our Wedding....absolutely out of this world"). With the greatest of respect Ruth I have to completely disagree with you and say that our brand new half a million pound development "The Stables" are a fantastic new additional to our already beautiful venue and we absolutely love them but more importantly our couples and their guests love them too. I sincerely apologise that you found the lighting too bright to read during the night and that our brand new top of the range mattresses were not to your liking. I would have loved to have thanked you for your valuable feedback during checkout but unfortunately you did not want to discuss this with anyone, you only wanted to tell us all that "this will be going on TripAdvisor". We got married at West Tower this Easter weekend and they made it the perfect day. The service from start to finish was to an excellent standard, the planning process was supported the whole way and they facilitated every quirky request with ease. You really do get what you pay for and we think it was worth every penny. The venue was immaculate and decorated exactly how we'd asked even though we didn't have a venue dresser, the staff followed our instructions to the letter so we could have a stress free day; the food was incredible and they accommodated every dietary requirement with all our guests complimenting the meal; the bedrooms are not only stunning but also extremely comfortable to enable a good night's rest after a busy day.
We cannot think of a better place to get married than in the stunning surroundings and with the wonderful people at West Tower.

Where to start....we booked our big day back in November 2017 with the welcoming, friendly team at West Tower. From the very beginning, they have not only been very helpful, have been extremely accommodating with our wishes and dreams for our big day! All the planning for the big day has been seamless, nothing was ever too much trouble for the amazing staff at west tower. On the day of our wedding, we cannot put into words how incredibly perfect everything was, from the large set up to the smallest little details. The presentation of the venue was absolutely immaculate, Kim the event manager is one in a million and absolutely amazing at what she does. The food was out of this world with everyone commenting on how good it was. All the staff were extremely attentive and accommodation, especially Josie who was like Kim’s right hand woman. The venues rooms and accommodation are in incredible and well worth every penny to stay with just your friends and family. Everyone commented on how amazing the rooms were and how beautiful the new ‘stables’ were. The breakfast was served hot and on time with plenty to go round for everyone. We would highly recommend West Tower to anyone thinking of an exclusive venue, trust us, this is the one!!! If you want a day to remember where you and your family are centre of attention and have an exclusive wedding experience, look no further than west tower. We were allocated a cottage-style unit, adjacent to the main entrance. It looked lovely on first glance, with the main bedroom area being clean and spacious. It was evident, though, that this accommodation was geared towards individuals with disability and/or mobility issues.
Whilst the bedroom space was faultless, the same couldn’t be said about the bathroom/wet room. The grab handle next to the toilet was coming away from the wall, quite a serious issue for someone who would need it. Of even greater concern was the alarm cord. It was far too high from the floor, meaning that someone in distress may not be able to reach it in a prone position.
I can’t recommend this hotel for persons with mobility issues.
However, the main hotel areas are very comfortable and well maintained to a style relative to its age. The grounds are delightful. Breakfast is served in the main bar and is buffet style. Plentiful top ups of tea and coffee, without the need to ask for it.
We enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely, without exception. It’s a three-star rated hotel, which I would agree with. But, it is charging four-star prices which isn’t on.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Mainly because of the wonderful staff we engaged with. A very pleasant team indeed.

Wow, I am not even sure where to start with our review of West Tower! Absolutely everything was incredible! Our wedding day exceeded our expectations! It really was like a dream come true, everything was perfect the best day of our lives!
Our wedding planner Alex got to know us as a couple and all the small intricacies of our wedding, thank you for all your help in the run up to the day. Your calm and collected approach really put my mind at ease through my many questions and queries as well as on the day, you are exceptional at what you do, our day would have not been the same without you!
The whole place just has a magical feeling to it, The Ballroom, The Cellar Bar, The leather lounge, the stunning bridal suite and of course the beautiful grounds! The Cristal suite is just amazing, such a lovely place for the bride to get ready with her bridesmaids we loved every minute of this!
People often ask us what was the best part about our wedding day and for both of us the best part about the day was that we didn’t worry about anything. Alex and Kim worked very closely with the suppliers we used. Their operation is smooth and slick, the co-ordination they have with their colleagues and suppliers is amazing. We could relax and enjoy our day knowing everything was going smoothly and our guests were all enjoying themselves. We never had to keep track of time, Kim was there making sure everything was running smoothly and on time.
I think what makes West tower such an incredible place is how personal everything is. From the moment we first made contact with the venue through to leaving the day after our wedding everything was a joy. The venue is stunning and so incredibly perfect in every way! We truly experienced a fairy-tale wedding at West tower.
