This was a first time trip abroad and to Scotland for my mom and I. We stayed all week at Ruisgarry, and couldn't have had a better experience. Dorothy and her husband made us feel so welcome that we felt like family by the end of the week. The view from the front of the house was amazing, and we...

our hostess Dorothy McLeod welcomed us like long lost family and was so helpful. booked us a table at a local restaurant, brought us ice for our cocktails and had plenty of books and maps to study. cooked us fabulous breakfasts and didn't bat an eyelid when we messed with the menu and had special requests. i'd be very happy...

Second time I've stayed here. You can't beat this friendly b&bs views over to the Cullins in one direction and the mainland in another. Rooms are all en-suite and very comfortable. Dorothy cooks a great breakfast, with vegetarian choices on offer. The lounge has a basket with good maps and local guide books for a few quiet moments. It's only...

Was here with my wife and 22 year old son for two nights . You must have your own car if you want to stay here because every decent place to eat or shop is a few miles from here ( near broadford ) . There is a restaurant called red sky which is close but very very expensive for...

As a hillwalker who has gone to Skye for many years, I'd always had difficulty finding reasonably priced single rooms that offered a breakfast to set me up for a long day on the Cuillin. That was until I stumbled across Ruisgarry in 2014. The single ensuite is deceptively large thanks to a huge walk-in wardrobe, always warm and with...

I was only here for one night during a brief visit to Skye, but enjoyed it. The bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom very clean and well kept. The owner was very helpful (lending me a map!), and welcomed me to her home. If I had a small complaint it would be that the single room I was...

Fantastic stay, albeit for only one night. Room spotlessly clean and breakfast was excellent. Made most welcome by Dorothy who couldn't have done more to make our stay any better. Many Thanks for all your help.

Dorothy runs the b&m ruisgarry, she is lovely and very kindly. I booked the double room, it is very big and comfortable, and extremely clean, the bathroom was very nice also and full of items. Of course we'll come back soon.
