Although we had been before, Ruisgarry took a bit of finding since the satnav based on postcode was not accurate. Persistence was rewarded when we found the bungalow on the landward side of the single-track road through Lower Breakish.

My bestie and I stayed in a double room while on vacation. Dorothy was warm and welcoming, even hanging our soaked clothes to dry and returning them folded in the morning. Breakfast was delicious; we enjoyed meeting the other guests and sharing tales of adventures. Both of us agreed that the only thing we wished we changed was not staying longer!

The B&B has a great view on the sea. The location on a local road makes it quiet in the night. All the hotspots of Ilse of Skye are within a range of 2 carhours. A good restaurant is 5 min walk away. Breakfast is at one big table. So you meet the guest in the house and can you tell your experience of the day before.

I spent 4 nights in Ruisgarry. My visit began with a warm welcome from Dorothy and continued with great hospitality. The room was clean, bed was super comfortable and the view from the house is lovely. Breakfest was also perfect! Thanks Dorothy!

I stayed several nights over a two week period at Ruisgarry while I was in the area for work. Booking last minute accommodation in Skye at the height of summer is always an impossible task, but Dorothy was very accommodating and helped me out as much as she could. Whilst there I stayed in the twin room, the double room and the single! All the rooms were spotlessly clean and the views from each, and the breakfast and lounge rooms, are stunning. Breakfast itself was lovely, and the B&B is situated within walking distance of at least one hotel but a short drive from other places to eat in Kyle and Broadford. I had a really lovely time and hope to stay again!

My husband and I stayed at Ruisgarry for 2 nights in the late summer. Dorothee couldn't have been more helpful and the breakfasts were delicious. We would definitely come again. It was a convenient springboard from which to explore two loops of the Isle

I enjoyed my stay at Ruisgarry B&B very much. The view is breathtaking and you can walk right down to the beach from the B&B. There is ample parking on the premisis. So no excuse to enjoy a dram or two at the near by restaurant. The host is very welcoming and has tons of info about the island to share. My room was tidy and clean, everything I needed was there including hairdryer and coffeemachine. Breakfast is plentyful and delicious with lots to choose from.Being located close to the bridge to Skye it was easy to reach after having traveled all day.I highly recommend this place !

After a long day traveling by car, it was wonderful to arrive at our B&B which was in a beautiful location, conveniently situated near the Skye Bridge. The three of us were accommodated very comfortably in rooms (one twin, one single) which were spacious, spotless and with en suite showers. Dorothy could not have been more welcoming. She was helpful, answering queries before we arrived and booked us a table for dinner at a nearby restaurant. The excellent cooked breakfast set us up well for the rest of day. The view from the sitting room which was available for use was spectacular. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Dear Dorothy and John, I enjoyed my visit in May this year in your comfortable house with its clean rooms with all facilities . The view from the guest lounge is magnificent especially during sun set. For me as a walker it is an excellent base for my ‘expeditions’. You always make me feel at home. I’ m looking forward to meet you again in September. I certainly recommend your house to friends and colleagues who travel to Skye. By the way your fresh kippers are outstanding!

Stayed at Ruisgarry on Wednesday 1st August 2018 for one night single room received a warm welcome on arrival room spotless comfortable bed tea making tray in room shower and bathroom exceptionally clean great Scottish breakfast in the morning Would definitely stay there again
