Review on behalf of my mother: Perfectly comfortable, clean. new linen and towels every day. Despite previous reviews bed was comfortable. Hot water never ran out. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Conveniently close to university. Food tasty if not gourmet. Morning toast was hard. Bedside lamp would have been nice. Would stay again.

Honeyland Hotel, Jimma, Ethiopia Two of us stayed here for one night in late March, 2016. They only had double rooms, no twins, so we needed to book 2 rooms, an extra expense. By Ethiopian law , 2 people of the same gender may not share a bed. Some hotels ignore the rule. Honeyland Hotel is a bit away from...

Supposedly this hotel has water, but on 3 stays over 4 nights, I've never experienced it. The staff is friendly, but incompetent on key matters like operating a credit card machine. The hotel is relatively buggy (but few mosquitoes). Breakfast is served early, but is on the weak side. Food for other meals is a little better than usual. Wifi...

Could not use the bathroom, threw up from the smell, some sort of liquid waste reservoir was in there. When told the staff, they just shrugged. When told them that they cannot charge what they did for a room without bathroom, they played 'dumb". Overcharging of foreigners, wifi does not work, lodged in a seedy looking 'annex' about two hundred...

I stayed with 3 Ethiopian colleagues and paid over 200 birr more for the room. The rooms were okay, but not worth the price in rural Ethiopia. I was passing through to Gambella and think the Nekemte is the better way to go as there are more hotel options.

We reserved six rooms in this hotel by phone several weeks in advance of a business meeting. When we arrived the rooms had been given away. We were sent to a vile hotel (Lina International) where an all night party took place. No apologies of any kind, and no warning of the quality of the hotel to which we were...

At least there is a bath towel. I think they must wash it in the river though, because it's stiff as a board. Honeyland is just fine. For God's sake your in Jimma! And its not the Central Hotel so count your blessings. They try. I will say that it takes a working knowledge of plumbing to get hot water...

From the outside (and from the main entrance) the hotel seems to be good, but the rooms are not better than those of other hotels of the area. They had hot water during the afternoon/evening, but no water during the whole night. The price (around 430€) includes breakfast; it is similar to the price of the best rooms of the...

No bedbugs. Didn't see a single roach. Clean sheets and hot water. Mosquito nets. Free hot breakfast with juice and coffee. Wireless in the lobby. Sat TV in rooms. Pleasant staff. If the Honeyland were transplanted to the US it would be booked solid with bargain hunters and those traveling on a budget. At $25 US a night, its a...

Big room, handy to meet colleagues but no hot water. In fact shower in 606 was more like a boiling kettle spitting water but no flow or mixer. Food in house was OK at dinner and breakfast, local and tourist fare. Had a couple of smaller roaches for company in bathroom but they kept themselves to themselves. Mosquito net was...
