My husband has a love of all things WWII, so I booked our stay in Normandy here. I cannot begin to express how FAR ABOVE OUR EXPECTATIONS this lovely B and B was! The hosts are exceptional, welcoming, and just simply lovely! They and the guests we shared time with stole our hearts. The food was AMAZING! The attention to detail was extraordinary and we spent so much time enjoying the memorabilia throughout the property - from pictures and books to automobiles! We often talk of getting back to Normandy to visit Patricia and Laurent - we saw all the WWII sites, but the thing that stays in our hearts is the time we spent at Spirit of 1944!!!

We stayed two nights in the Chruchill room. The bed is comfortable and the place is quiet. The guest house is located next to the german cimetery. The american cemetery is about 15 minutes away. Finally the decoration is not very "DDAY" wich is disappointing for an enthusiast like me. There aren't mny restaurant nearby wich is a drawback.

I'm coming here for the 7th year about 9 times and it stays magical as always. Patricia and Laurent are the perfect hosts and true friendship has come. They can advise you everything in the area, whether it is WWII or something else. The rooms are exquisite not to mention the wonderful breakfast that will be lunch for you as well with an big offer of freshly made local products. Go here and you will witness the magic of Spirit of 1944.

t is a magical place where we are welcomed in an extraordinary way.Patricia and Laurent are at your disposal and are always a source of proposals. Everything in this place, which could resemble a museum, recalls the spirit of 1944 and allows a return to history. The breakfast is fabulous, thanks to the talent of cook of Laurent. This part of Normandy is steeped in history and many sites are open to visitors. Depending on the time of year, events and re-enactments are organized. The hosts of these places are good advice to help us in our choices.

Very beautiful place in the strategic location for 1944 landing beaches visits. Very friendly hosts who know perfectly history of the battle of Normandy and they will guide you for your tour. Rooms are nice and clean. Do not miss the Laurent's breakfast ! We will be back for the 6th of June. Thanks Laurent and Patricia for your kindness.

Very welcoming and confortable place to enjoy a weekend in good company. The atmosphere helps you travelling through time thanks to decoration and well documented and friendly hosts. The location of te BB in Normandy is just perfect and will able to explore before finding the most confortable room ever.

Excellence all the way. Comfortable, calm, cosy, and classy in a 1940s environment. Fit and finish are very nice and the overall effect is that of luxurious lodgings. Service is way over customers' expectations.
