Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the moment we arrived we absolutely loved the place, weather wasn’t too great but the views were stunning. We stayed only a couple of nights for a quick getaway but we couldn’t have made a better choice. Our room (number 1) was lovely, beautifully decorated & comfortable with great views overlooking the green. Breakfast was perfect and set us up for the day. Couple of pubs a short distance walk across the village green, a couple of shops & post office. Donna was very welcoming & friendly, wished we had booked for a little longer stay, we would definitely stay here again.

Donna was a great host, really friendly and helpful. Our room had everything we needed and was warm, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was superb and set us up for walking in this amazing part of the country. Brilliant location with several restaurants and pubs within a minutes walk. Definitely will return.

We stayed at Ivy Cottage when we stopped in Reeth on our Coast to Coast walk. What a pleasure. Donna gave us a very warm welcome. The bedroom we were in was especially lovely. The B and B is perfectly situated. The town commons is just across the street as are a couple of pubs. A general store/post office are very close by. Breakfast was excellent. Donna was very quick to respond to questions as well. We really appreciated our stay here.

A lovely setting overlooking the green on Reeth. I stayed overnight on the C2C, a nice walm welcome from Donna after a days walking. My big bedroom had views over the green. A king-size bed, a place to sit, great shower and fluffy towels. A good breakfast set me up for the day. I couldn't fault my stay, thanks

A wonderful bed and breakfast at the top of Reeth overlooking the Green. Given a very warm welcome by Donna and Perry ( the cat !) , offered tea or coffee upon arrival. Our room was number 3 , the smallest of the 3 rooms available - beautifully appointed - comfy double bed with wonderful pillows and lovely linen. Lovely window seat with views over the rooftops to the fells in the distance. Well appointed shower room with nice towels. Tea and coffee making facility , lovely china mugs and good selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate - yummy cookies ! Excellent cooked , traditional breakfast - delicious bacon and bangers !! Plenty of free parking nearby. Would highly recommend.

Ivy Cottage is a great B & B run by a very good hostess. Donna works tirelessly to ensure that guests feel welcome and have a comfortable stay. We stayed in Room 2 which overlooks the Green and has a king size bed and a large walk in shower - perfect for our needs. Breakfast was wonderful. You make your selection the previous evening to enable the hostess to better manage the catering for her six guests. There is a great choice of hot and cold items. All ingredients are of the highest quality and I must give a special mention to the bacon (supplied from a butcher in Masham who visits the marker on Fridays) which is the best I have ever tasted. Looking forward to a return visit.

My friend and I stayed at Ivy Cottage B&B whilst walking the Coast to Coast, and really enjoyed our stay. There are only three rooms that I'm aware of but they are beautifully decorated, extremely spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we were made to feel very welcome by Donna.
