An unpretentious real homely country hotel, welcoming and relaxed, lovely staff, lovely fire, and wonderful breakfast and attention to detail such as real milk in rooms , teapot and proper teacups, we will certainly be returning

Reeth is set in a beautiful location and the Burgoyne hotel is a great place to stay. We had a lovely room, the food excellent and staff very attentive. Would like to return given the opportunity and explore more of the area.

The Burgoyne Hotels restaurant makes a very welcome break from the food available in many locations along the coast to coast path. The dining is truly fine cuisine, in a beautiful dining room, with excellent waiting staff and a decent wine list. The lounge and drawing rooms are delightful places to read, chat or have a pre dinner drink or...

The Burgoyne is in the centre of Reeth a very pretty village in Swale Dale , has a very English understated feel. We had two nights and dinned in both evenings , a small selection of local produce on offer.served in a modern British style very good. We had a group of American guest who were there for the Shooting...

Conclusion: Upmarket but slightly dated establishment which pleases because the staff are friendly and the position is top drawer Warm and comfortable accommodation, elegant quiet hotel with upmarket "edwardian" style lounges and white table cloth formal dining room. The hotel attracts a shooting party during august from Germany. A great place to stay for a couple of nights as a...

Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome and the comfortable, clean, tastefully traditional lounge had us at ease straight away. The staff...

Beer served in pewter mugs tasting aweful, and not a full bottle as priced. Melon starter was lost under a raspberry, no vegetarian option on offer, there was no choice in how the steak was cooked, this may have been because they wamted to create the toughest meat i have ever tasted. Cans and bottles were placed directly on the...

I only ate here but a bunch of people in our group stayed here and they absolutely loved it. Food here was so good. Friendly staff. Very British. Fancy place in a fancy town. My friends had a ball staying here and I left with a belly full of quality food.
