The location was perfect as we expected, in the middle of the hill, still 15 minutes walk to the closest pub. Although disappointed points are their premise: the dining room was like a corridor with a few tables+chairs; the lounge was very cold and stinky...More

Will be back with family. We stayed as a group of walkers on the Herriot way. Camping pods are great - nothing really to do with camping. Nice beds as usual in YHAs with all the bedding. Two singles and a pull out sofa bed/foton...More

We certainly have some lovely hostels in our network, good to hear you are exploring them. Thank you for your review

The facilties are nil. You are lucky to find bedding, it's cold, the pods have mattresses on the floor. It costs as much as a local hotel. The building needs maintaining badly and the furniture is worn out. Go to a hotel. Dallas

Hello Dallas Thanks for your review Our pods do have beds and a double futon depending in which one you stay, along with heating and lighting. All bedding is also provided. Its a shame that your expectations of what you were getting were not met

This YHA clearly stands out in all aspects. We stayed 2 nights in one of the tower rooms. Fantastic views, stunning scenery, really LARGE room, top notch en suite sanitary equipment. Here you feel much like a "king in your own little castle". In each...More

Reviewed 17 September 2017

We had booked in to stay in the camping pods and for the price £25 per night we weren't expecting a lot. But we were pleasantly surprised, at first the grey lodge looks almost spooky, then you see the views which are lovely. The pod...More

My wife and I just went here ourselves, but there is some play equipment on the property as well as a small football pitch. There is a retreat ground called Marrick Priory, probably about a 20 minute drive from the property... More
