Perfect hospitality, stunning scenery, comfy beds and wonderful activities (swimming, sea kayaking, trekking, mountain biking, fishing - to name a few!). Hopewell is a really special place that feels luxurious, where you can take your time appreciating the beautiful nature that surrounds and really relax. Fully deserving of its brilliant reputation. Thank you Lynley and Mike for a perfect stay!

We spent a most enjoyable 3 days at Hopewell Lodge. Stunning views, wonderful hospitality, very professional service, highly recommended especially for those who love water sports. A launch will collect you at the opposite side of the sound.

Our family group of 6 (us, 2 adult sons and partners) heard about Hopewell by word of mouth recommendation. Excellent communication pre-arrival and took up option for water taxi to shortcut the drive to Hopewell. Upon arrival a relaxed briefing with a cup of tea and fresh baked biscuits from our fantastic hosts setting the warm atmosphere and relaxed pace...

It's all true. This is the place to go, and you don't have to be a twenty-something to enjoy it. There are all ages here from all over the world- what a great mix of interesting people. Mike and Linley are superb hosts, and they maintain an excellent standard for all aspects of the lodge. The whole place is spotlessly...

We had an amazing 3 days at Hopewell; Lynley and Mike have created a wonderful place to stay that is peaceful, homely, and fun. There are some nice walks to do from the accommodation and the sports equipment available to hire is great value. We also had the best pizza and Anzac biscuits of our 2 months in NZ here!...
