The hotel's location was great - right on the Main Street of town! Public areas were lovely and the Tourist Information office was located in the lobby. There was a nice area for having drinks and a lovely restaurant. We had a nice dinner there and the breakfast was very good! The staff were friendly and helpful. Sleeping Rooms were... More

Dinner at this hotel was the only meal on holiday in Norway that I struggled to eat. Food was very poor and reminded me of a canteen. Even the drinks from the hot drinks machine were awful. Room was a bit old fashioned but adequate. Parking was across the road in the public car park.

Stayed here for one night. The hotel gave us a "90's feel" as parts of the hotel has the same style, but nothing feels worn, old or ready for refurbishment for that matter. I think some of the rooms have been renovated and updated to a more modern style. The rooms are very clean, which is my top priority when... More

We arrived at Fauske, late evening, monday 12.15.15. It has started to snow, and we needed a room for the night. Entering the reception and met a man who just knew how to treat a couple with a small dog. We were installed in a nice room with a sea views. Breakfast next morning was awesome, and the staff in... Scandic (ex-Rico) Hotel Fauske is a well-maintained older hotel - I recall a previous stay 20 years ago - and the only real choice in this strategically located, albeit rather somnolent small town. Personnel were friendly and helpful; my room attractive and quiet, though as elsewhere in Norway, I wondered about the minimally outfitted bathroom (no bar soap, wash cloth,... More

Decent room, great staff, good food from the hotel buffet (both dinner and breakfast). Well worth the stay! Could wish they had some sorts of balconys or roof top restaurant to sip in the view or something similar. Also, the smoking areas were to close to the entrances and could have been more customer friendly (for both smokers and non-smokers).

We stayed there on our way to Lofoten and Nordkapp. The hotel is okay for one night, but it is worn and needs a renovation. We also experienced some noise from cars, mopeds mm. The mattresses were very poor, so more than one night, I had not ordered here. The room was also very hot in the evening and night,... More

Traveling with small kids we stopped one night at Fauske hotel on our way up north. Had ordered a superior room and got a big room with a hallway and separate bath and toilet. Spacious room for two adults and two kids, and also really fresh. Could have been curtains or shades on the bathroom though, since the morning sun... More
