This hotel is in a beautiful, quiet spot with great views. The room was attractive and comfortable. The hospitality from Caroline was warm and welcoming. We had a meal in the restaurant during our stay which was absolutely delicious.

It is within easy walking distance of the delightful Sandsend beach and a five minute drive to the historic harbour town of Whitby; the hostess Caroline could not be faulted, her attention to detail and requirements of her guests are without doubt...

Wonderful peaceful location, plenty wildlife in the nearby woodlands. Short walk to the sea, quiet little village within a short drive to Whitby. Rooms are comfortable but the best thing is the welcome atmosphere, that and the food! Recommended

Gorgeous location in a wooded valley but only a short distance from the sea. We had a very friendly welcome. The bedroom was very comfortable, the shower was amazing and the bedding silky smooth. The breakfast was delicious. We only stayed one night but would have liked longer. I can't comment on dinner as we only ate breakfast. Recommended.
