Visited on 21/07/2021 for a special lunch. Arrived at 12.55 p.m for a 1 'o'clock booking. Food eventually arrived at 2.35 pm. No explanations as to why the food was so slow coming. When it did come the quality of the cooking was terrible. My sirloin steak was like a piece of dry old leather. The fried eggs with the ham and eggs had thick skins on the yolks and the ham looked as though it had been taken from a packet of supermarket very thinly sliced ham and rolled into tubes. The lasagne dish was overcooked and dry. The sea bass came looking as did everything else as though it had been hanging around for some time - overcooked and dried up. The gluten free roll was unappetising and the requested butter didn't turn up. The chips were fine. No attempt was made to enquire if we were enjoying our meal and to see if 'everything was alright'. The salads came drenched in a dressing. The whitebait starter was passable but the salad leaves on which it was served had seen better days. The garden furniture on which we were seated was old and rough. No cushions to sit on. The garden grass was long and needed cutting. The seating was such that our feet were on bare earth where the grass had been worn away. We should have walked out - the worst dining out experience we have ever had. Go elsewhere.…
Popped in with a mate for a pint and food . Great shepherds pie with veg and a generous ham egg and chips . Great portions and really delicious food . Excellent real ale - Tribute and a larger for my yet to be enlightened mate. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommended. A nice walk along the town path with famous views of the cathedral
We walked past this Old Mill House every year (4 years) in summer when we visited Salisbury. We went out in the morning to take a walk after breakfast. We stopped by the Old mill House and the Old mill river side garden. We thought it would be nice to have some tea in the garden and asked about the Old Mill House. But no one in the House (looked like a pub). We walked inside the river side garden, taking the pics while we were waiting for someone to come out. Unfortunately, no one came out. It might not be the right time to go there, then we gave up. It must be a very nice place to stay and have some tea in the river side garden. Summer next year, we will visit this House and the river side garden again. We took quite a few photos at the House and the river side garden. It looked very nice. Even though we did not have tea there but it would be nice for people who would like to visit know how nice this House is.…
Visited on a Saturday evening for one night ( would have loved to stayed for more). What a wonderful B&B, with so much history. We had a very lovely room, with a beautiful view, and a superb breakfast cooked by the Lady of the house (Maggie) who is an absolute joy, amazing lady who just is a joy to be around. Thank you from Me with the Pink bag and my husband .
We stayed at the Old Mill House after a long day trotting around Avebury and Stonehenge. First of all, be careful as the signage is somewhat small and easy to miss. Maggie was most hospitable and greeted us warmly upon our arrival. Our room had an outside entrance facing the pond and included a bedroom and a sitting area with TV and comfy couches. It was one of the larger rooms we stayed in our trip through Wales, Cornwall, and western England. The B&B was convenient to a decent pub for dinner and the breakfast the next morning was hot and satisfying. The B&B is a converted mill with many of the inner workings visible for admiration. Overall, we had no complaints with the exception of the parking area which is rather small and cramped. Just pay attention on road or you'll miss this little gem.…

We had a lovely weekend stay at Old Mill House. Maggie was very welcoming and helpful and the rooms were lovely and clean. It was nice to have the guest sitting room to relax in and breakfast was freshly cooked and very filling. Would recommend a stay. Lynn
Although our stay was for the sad occasion of a funeral of one of our family, Maggie and her lovely Old Mill House made it more bearable. My wife, son, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent accommodation, breakfasts, amazing building and scenery, not to mention Maggies wonderful hospitality. We would not hesitate to recommend The Old Mill House and would love to visit again. Hope the dog's foot gets better quickly!
We stumbled upon this wonderful place by accident and we were not disappointed. We discovered a gem! The place is idyllic. Beautiful surrounding and a wonderful room. We stayed in the annex but we have had a sneaky peek at the other rooms and I can promise you you will love the place as much as we do. Maggie and her family made us feel so welcome we felt like part of the family. Even the the 2dogs were eager to get to know us. The facilities are first class and the bed and room is very comfortable. Lots of nooks and crannies and filled with treasures of the past which hold lovely memories. Maggie is an amazing host and her breakfasts are fabulous. We will have to come back as we feel that we have made such lovely friends. Thank you all we will miss you. But we will be back soon. We know our son and daughter in law love it as much as we do .…
We stayed here last minute so we could visit Stonehenge for the Solstice. The owner kindly squeezed us in as they would be away and wasn’t sure if they would be back in time. It was perfect, lovely owners and beautiful old mill. The views are so tranquil and it is a short walk to a little town down the back roads. Would definitely use again if we are in the area.
