Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Although our stay was for the sad occasion of a funeral of one of our family, Maggie and her lovely Old Mill House made it more bearable. My wife, son, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent accommodation, breakfasts, amazing building and scenery, not to mention Maggies wonderful hospitality. We would not hesitate to recommend The Old Mill House and would love to visit again. Hope the dog's foot gets better quickly!

We stumbled upon this wonderful place by accident and we were not disappointed. We discovered a gem! The place is idyllic. Beautiful surrounding and a wonderful room. We stayed in the annex but we have had a sneaky peek at the other rooms and I can promise you you will love the place as much as we do. Maggie and her family made us feel so welcome we felt like part of the family. Even the the 2dogs were eager to get to know us. The facilities are first class and the bed and room is very comfortable. Lots of nooks and crannies and filled with treasures of the past which hold lovely memories. Maggie is an amazing host and her breakfasts are fabulous. We will have to come back as we feel that we have made such lovely friends. Thank you all we will miss you. But we will be

We stayed here last minute so we could visit Stonehenge for the Solstice. The owner kindly squeezed us in as they would be away and wasn’t sure if they would be back in time. It was perfect, lovely owners and beautiful old mill. The views are so tranquil and it is a short walk to a little town down the back roads. Would definitely use again if we are in the area.

We stayed as a family group of five people and really enjoyed every aspect of it. The hosts are beyond helpful and very friendly, breakfast was excellent and the rooms were perfect. The building is a carefully adapted ancient water-mill, still has it's mill-pond and parts of the original wooden mill mechanism are still visible. The location is excellent, quiet, close to a few good pubs for eating in the evening, few miles from Stonehenge, yet away from the masses, most attractions of the area are quickly reachable by car. Directly behind the house you can take a stroll through the great English countryside and watch the swans on the river Wyle or go fly-fishing there. Hope to be back one day!

This is a charming property with plenty of character in a good location. The accommodation is spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable - always a good plus point! Maggie was very welcoming and helpful about local eateries. The breakfast was superb. I would not hesitate to recommend this B & B and we would certainly return ourselves if in the area again.

Beautiful old building just outside of Wilton and not far from the Wylye Valley NCN cycle trail. Maggie could not have been more helpful. We (3 lady cyclists) arrived later than we had intended and Maggie booked us a table at the local Inn (The Bell, which was also excellent) and hung our shirts out to dry. Breakfast served in a lovely part of the old mill with gorgeous antiques and enviable views. We all 3 shared a small suit and the cost was very reasonable.

On my first trip to England in 2007 we stayed here at the start of our holiday and left with great memories. For 2017 we chose to stay again, this time on our last night. As before, we had a warm welcome from Maggie. She is a great host, providing us with a good choice of dining options in the nearby villages, and a great breakfast the following morning. The rooms were clean, with ample space and nicely decorated.. Located not far from Salisbury, there is plenty to see in the area.

Posting on behalf of my Mother - she stayed over New Year 2017 with friends. Unfortunately she was taken ill (nothing to do with the B&B food!) and had to be taken to Hospital. Nothing was too much for Maggie and Brian who were fantastic - calm, helpful and supportive. Once recovered - my Mother was full of praise for what was a brilliant party prior to her unplanned visit to the local Hospital. Would absolutely recommend!

My sons and I stayed here for 3 days while we explored the neighbourhood. This is a B&B with personality: one part B&B, one part interesting medieval architecture (the old mill machinery is particularly worth your attention), one part Ankh-Morpork Art Museum. Maggie, the chef/concierge/hostess, is very accommodating and flexible, and goes to considerable effort to help you plan for your time here. We enjoyed our stay very much, and I loved my room up on the top floor with its view across the valley. An excellent pub is just up the road, and between it and Maggie's breakfasts you'll never go hungry. Righty-tighty, back to work! :)
