We got Valentinos as a great deal with Jet2, thanks to covid and last minute bookings. For what we paid we got value for money but I wouldn't have been quite so pleased if I'd paid the usual prices for high season.

We had a two bed apartment overlooking the pool. Room was spacious and clean but very dated, with a few safety issues. Kitchen area was OK, if not a bit small but with so many great restaurants in Roda it's unlikely you will use it anyway. Mini oven/hob looked a bit of a death trap to be honest but the rest was fine for making a snack if you wanted too and decent fridge for drinks.
Balcony doors have no stickers or markings on them so difficult to see when they are shut so be careful with young children. The outer balcony shutter doors have a hook fastening at the bottom with a piece of metal sticking out of the floor to latch it on too. Again could be dangerous if you have young children and they stand on it!

Pool area is a decent size, pool is very deep though. Kept clean and tidy by Spiros from the pool bar, who was friendly enough. Sunloungers seemed to b most afternoons and it's not what we want to be listening too on holiday, especially with kids. It wasn't just one person, there seemed to be a few different people like this over the fortnight and it made us not want to be there. I appreciate they were spending behind the bar and the bar owner needs to take whatever money he can but we'd have spent more time and money round the pool if it had been a nicer atmosphere. Just asking people to watch their language and consider other families would help.

We used another pool bar down by the beach and noticed two other families from our hotel in there too most days, we all bought food and drinks each day when there so could have spent that at our pool if we felt more comfortable.

Having a room overlooking the bar was a bit hard work at times too, especially when said people above were in the bar as even if the room you could hear all the effing and jeffing and may as well have been sat in the bar!

Location is great, short walk to the beach and restaurants. Bus stop ten mins away.

We would definitely recommend Roda but I wouldnt recommend these apartments for families unless they were updated and got better behaved guests.

I recently stayed here with my sister for a week. The accommodation was basic and could do with a bit of updating but overall it was clean.

The best part about these apartments were the pool bar which was run by Spirios and he son Nicki the we're excellent and nothing was too much trouble. They hosted a BBQ night for €15 which was very good value for money and great dancing afterwards.
I would definitely stay there again but would book a superior room and I would recommend it to family and friends.

Please don't let the bad reviews put you off!

We had a ground floor apartment which was perfect for stepping right over the small wall to the pool area. Our room looked recently redecorated and the small kitchen area was ideal. Cleaned every day and towels replaced a few times during our weeks stay.

We never had any trouble getting a sun lounger, although I would say these could do with being upgraded.

If you don't purchase any food or drink at the poolside bar, there is a 5euro charge per bed for the day, so maybe something to keep in mind.

The location is perfect! 2 minutes one way takes you to lots of lovely beach front bars and restaurants and 5 minutes the other way and you're on the main road which is a bit livelier. We didn't have a bad meal, you'd be spoilt for choice!

All in a all a really nice stay and for what we paid, we couldn't have asked for much more!

We've just returned from our 4th holiday in Roda and have stayed st Valentinos on all 4 occasions. I don't normally write reviews but, having read some of those left recently, felt that I must.
Yes, the accommodation is basic and could do with updating (some of the apartments have been done and look lovely!) but in our experience it's clean and comfortable for the money we paid. They're self catering apartments and you get what you pay for; a small, basic kitchen and bathroom, adequate bedrooms and pleasant balconies. I always expect to buy my own loo rolls in this type of accommodation, although one is provided. I don't go away to cook dinner every night (especially when there are so many great restaurants in Roda) and only use the bathroom to get ready to go out. So, for us, the apartments serve their purpose very well.
Travelling during a global pandemic, we expected things to be a bit different this year. No, the cleaners didn't do their usual great job but emptied the bins in the kitchen and bathroom every day. In order to keep contact and potential cross contamination to a minimum guests were required to ask for a change of towels or bedding. This happened quickly whenever we asked and we were more than happy that it happened this way!
We book direct with the apartment owner but, regardless of whether you do this or as part of a package holiday, there's always a check out time specified. Our flight wasn't until 23:00hrs but after talking with Antonios (the apartment owner) we were able to stay in our room until early evening, no problem. It just takes a bit of communication!
Spiros, the pool and bar owner, is helpful and has a very dry sense of humour. Some won't "get" him but we've always found that he can't do enough for us. Spiros doesn't have any responsibility for the apartments but will go out of his way to help if the apartment owner isn't about (either on arrival or with any problems). BUT it's not his place to put things right!
It's been a different holiday with the effects of Covid (bars closing early, restaurants at lower capacity etc.) but it was great to see how everyone in the resort, definitely including Valentinos, made a massive effort to ensure guests had a great time.
We will return to Roda and recommend Valentinos as a brilliant place to stay!
Yamas!

Stayed here for 7 years running, mainly in block A however this year we opted for block B away from the pool as the rooms have just been completely refurbished. I can not recommend these rooms enough, everything including decor and furniture is brand new, the beds and mattresses are the comfiest we have slept on in Greece and the bathrooms are absolutely amazing with a huge newly tiled shower with excellent water pressure. These are the best rooms in Roda without a doubt! The new rooms are available on Booking.com and through the owner directly, I believe Jet2 cover block A only.

If your thinking of going here I strongly advise you not to. My husband and I booked a week and although we weren’t expecting much we got even less. The room wasn’t cleaned the whole week we were there. The towels were not changed unless you ask. When I eventually got to speak to manager he told us because of Covid we had to ask to get room cleaned and fresh towels. Surely they should be cleaned more. We were expected to be out or room for 11 o’clock with no toilet or washing facilities. When I kicked up a fuss the bar manager(who says he has nothing to do with apartments) said we could use his toilet and cold shower. I phoned jet2 who got apartment manager who eventually said we could stay in our room till pick up time grudgingly. So save yourself the bother and book some of the other lovely hotels or apartments in Roda it is a beautiful village with lovely bars and restaurants. I have added some photos of the toilet in apartment and thank yourself it’s not scratch and sniff.

Having visited and stayed here before I knew what I was getting.
As with previous visits the welcome was warm and rooms were bright and clean.
A couple of years back there were 33 of us in a group and were extremely well catered for.
Some of the rooms have now been upgraded and look fantastic.
The pool & bar run by Spiros stocks a great choice of drinks and nothing is too much trouble - anything you need Spiros & Antonios are there, just ask!
The location at the end of strip means you are close to the restaurants and bars but just far enough away to have peace and tranquility.

We arrived late and was greeted by Spiros – the bar manager, who showed us to our two bedroom apartment on the first floor overlooking the pool. All good and serviceable – if a little basic. For fussy travellers, they have upgraded several rooms which looked very nice and can be booked through Jet2 at an additional cost. The shower always provided hot water and the balcony was in the shade – a bonus for the hot days. Air conditioning is available as is a room safe at an additional cost.
The maid service is excellent with towels changed every 3 days and sheets changed every 5 days. A kettle, oven and oven rings are provided with plenty of utensils. The view was pleasant overlooking the sea.
The apartments are in a great position just 100 metres from the main village – which has just enough bars, restaurants and shops. All the beach bars served good food etc. and offered free sunbeds for customers. All in all a great village vibe ideal for families and couples.
More on the bar – Spiros is a top guy who runs a great bar and also cooks some great snacks and a mean full English Breakfast with toast and hot drink included – the best in Roda. Previous reviews mentioned he can be grumpy – but I never found that – anyway he works 17 hours per day so I suppose we all could get tired sometimes. A mention for his son, Nikos – a fine young man who helps his father and is great with customers as he was with my grandson, Alex.
Finally I would recommend Drosia a locals restaurant and Dimitris a great Gyros snack bar.

Stayed here for 2 weeks through a jet 2 package . Wife is in a wheelchair so asked for special assistance at airport and a ground floor apartment. On arrival we were shown a first floor apartment with no lift . We complained , owner rang jet 2 who claimed they didn’t know we needed a ground floor apartment. Offered alternative accommodation but we would have to pay price difference!! Rooms were dirty and very basic . Our room above the bar . Raucous singing and shouting till 0400hrs most nights by repeat guests mostly from the north east . Manager doesn’t care as long as his overpriced ale is sold (it’s cheaper in the town) . Pool adequate but sun beds have no cushions and you can’t take your own drinks out despite it being self catering !! Fire evacuation point was the pool bar but at night you can’t get to it as the access is locked and my wife would have had no chance getting down the stairs . I’ve had to give it 1 star to leave review but in truth it deserves none . Avoid at all costs .

We stayed in a poolside deluxe studio, finished to a very high standard and was very comfortable, we had our rooms cleaned daily. Spiros runs the pool bar , and makes a mean bacon roll also does breakfasts and snacks. Great holiday with lots of laughs
Good location only 10 minutes from the main strip
