Perfect setting for our Painting in Italy course, so peaceful, apart from owl calls, with beautiful views and a super team looking after us. The location is not for those who look for busy city life but ideal for rest and recuperation or as a base for your own plans and activities , you can however arrange through the hotel...

We had the opportunity to spend a long weekend with friends at this hotel (which was once the hunting lodge of the owner's father). Beautifully converted with tastefully decorated rooms - many with breathtaking views over the Umbrian Hills. It is impeccably clean and the staff cannot do enough for you. The restaurant serves fresh produce under the auspices of...

Considering you are staying in old Manson type hotel with its limitations ( no airco for the hot summer days, bathroom clean but a bit dated) this is wonderfull place to spend a holiday in Umbria. The small "negative" points are neglictable compared the great views, the friendliness of the staff and last but not least the GREAT DINERS. Do...

La Ghirlanda is located in the middle of Umbria with all the places of interest within easy reach. it offers stunning views, comfortable and elegant bedrooms and excellent food. During our six days of four course dinners we never had a single dish that disappointed even slightly. The staff are all courteous and helpful and whether you seek rest and...

We stumbled on La Ghirlanda last summer when driving through Umbria and it was a fantastic find. So we decided to return again this summer and were just as impressed. La Ghirlanda is a stunningly beautiful place, utterly relaxing and tranquil. The attention to detail both in the decor and the furnishing of the house makes it feel very special....

We returned in March 2013, after five years, to the captivating Agriturismo La Ghirlanda (“the Garland”). Umbria, slowly stirring from a wet, cold winter, was put in sharp relief by the welcome greeting of house manager, Claudia. She settled us into the warmth and charm of this stylish country villa, a former hunting lodge on a 220 hectare/480 acre estate,...

This has to be one the best holiday's that I have ever had. My son planned his wedding in the village just down the road and we booked most of the rooms at the villa for the wedding party. What a beautiful peaceful location. The villa was exquisite and just what one would have expected from an grand old Italian...

It's one of my favourite places in Italy with extremely warm&hospital people. The Count&Contessa who are the owners of La Ghirlanda takes care their clients to feel as their personal guests. I love the place because it is so close to Todi, Orvieto,Perugia, Montefalco. Usually, La Ghirlanda Saragano is our base and we travel around Umbria&Toscany coming back at night...

This is a beautiful old house which has been lovingly restored by the owners to provide extremely comfortable accomodation. It has the feeling of a house party rather than an hotel as the staff are totally charming and kind with delightful smiles yet unobtrusive and mindful of tranquillity and privacy. It is ideally situated to visit the wonderful hilltop medieval...

“We chose our suite after viewing the photos on the villas web site. However the temperature gets very high in summer so a choice of a room that will catch the afternoon breeze is a good bet.”

“The Cardinale suite is actually much nicer than the photos on the web. The " Di Barbara" suite is very pleasant and bright. The nice rooms in the dependance are suitable for longer stays and photos on the web do not give justice to these accommodations.”
