This place is our home away from home. Super comfortable rooms with lovely cotton sheets and great products in bathroom. Perfect location in a quiet countryside location with all the amenities you need a short distance away. The most amazing food and fresh produce home grown or locally sourced by a very talented chef Mike, who creates imaginative and elegant food that surpasses anything we’ve had in many a fine dining restaurant. Tracey offers beauty treatment on site too and there is a lovely swimming pool to cool you on hottest of days. Our 4th stay and we cannot thank the hosts enough for making our holidays there soooo perfect and creating such fun happy memories. Wishing them both the best of luck in the future with our grateful thanks 🇫🇷❤️

After two years of postponements we finally achieved our fifth visit to Les Peupliers. The welcome from Tracey and Mike was as warm as ever, and the food sublime. To be back in the spacious and comfortable room felt like returning home. The garden is a good place to chill after a dose of culture and the pool was much appreciated in the late summer heat. Looking forward to our next visit.

Our third visit and it never disappoints! Beautiful, spacious rooms, attractive gardens with a lovely pool. Plenty of places to sit in and out of the sun. Mike and Tracey are the perfect hosts, welcoming and fun! They offer lots of info and guides for things to do in the area - and there are plenty. Then there is the food - Mike’s cooking is sublime, we have never tasted better, a wonderful gastronomic and sociable experience in the evening. We will certainly be back!

Les Peupliers is perfect. The setting is quiet and relaxing and a perfect spot to explore the local towns and villages. Over the years we have returned again and again to this wonderful spot and the stay never leaves us with anything other than wonderful memories and a feeling of warm contentment. If you have the inclination to travel to the Loire give it a try but please don't tell anyone else, lets keep it our little secret.

This is the third occasion that we have stayed here and the first after Covid. It was great to find that nothing had changed. The lovely welcome from the hosts, everything spotless and in its place and the food to the excellent high standard. We find Les Peupliers to be the perfect spot to relax and to visit that part of the Loire and have no hesitation in highly recommending it.

Mike and Tracy are just lovely . Chef and Hostess respectively, they are the perfect team and Les Peupliers their perfect creation. After enforced and repeated postponement a recent week's stay was as perfect as always and Mike's food and Tracy's smile (not to mention massage ) were the highlights of our holiday. We returned after 3 years of enforced postponement and it was like coming back to see our family, emotional. Mike and Tracey greeted us with 'open' arms and we spent a long time just catching up. I can’t put into words how wonderful Les Peupliers is! The rooms are lovely - we have been several times and always stayed in one of the two Stables rooms, but having seen the other three rooms I know they are all lovely. Beds are comfortable, showers are great and rooms are impeccably clean. The pool is fantastic - lovely temperature (especially on hot days, 30+ deg. like we had!) and a fantastic size. Pool beds are comfortable and there’s lots of lovey garden to relax in - both in sun and shade. The hosts are honestly two of the loveliest people I’ve ever met. Can’t say any better than that. And the food is spectacular. Mike cooks wonderful three course meals (all served with local wine!) and it’s the best food I’ve had. I am already excited for our next “Mike Meal” when we book to go again! Breakfasts are fantastic too! And the “cupboard of dreams” is always fully stocked with goodies to take home to make that holiday feeling last a bit longer. Don’t leave without a bottle of balsamic or chilli sauce! One fantastic thing is getting to meet and dine with your fellow guests. We have met some lovely people over the years and made some great memories! There is a huge amount to do in the local area and you don’t have to travel far at all to find fantastic castles, canoeing, markets, wine tastings, art galleries… It’s a fantastic area to visit. Les Peupliers is just a little bit of heaven on earth. The rooms are wonderful, with everything you could want or need. The gardens are lovely with plenty of shade, good quality sun-beds and a beautiful pool. Added to this, you have the option to dine with the other guests and enjoy the best food you have ever eaten! Mike and Tracey are exceptionally good at their jobs but also lovely people who go out of their way to make your stay a joy!

Like so many of Mike and Tracey's guests, our trip had been postponed twice and we were so pleased to finally get here. We have been coming to Les Peupliers for years and it remains one of our favourite places to stay. Certainly we wouldn't contemplate any trip to France without staying here. This visit was for four nights and we were in the Hayloft again. Very comfortable. Everything is set up for guests to relax and the pool was a Godsend because of the heat. We ate dinner three of the four nights (Mike has Sundays off from cooking) and the food, yet again, was fantastic. Not sure our waistlines could have coped with any more dinners! Excellent value for money and the quality is suberb. It was Father's day when we visited and Tracey had arranged a bottle of wine for Simon, at our daughters' request. We came down to breakfast and there it was, all bagged and ready for him. Little touches like that are much appreciated. As so many of their returning guests say, it is Mike and Tracey that make this place so special. They work tirelessly to make sure guests feel relaxed and welcomed. We have spent several family holidays here and we all have such happy memories of each visit. We certainly hope that the next visit won't be so long in coming although I suspect we will have to bring our daughters next time! Thank you to both of you.…
