Found this wonderful creperie/cafe by chance having dropped in to see the abbey, it had been a disapointing day up till then as the chateau we were to visit was closed, but the le V owner bernard gave us a great welcome and a mid afternoon snack. Such a peaceful setting, we sat on tthe picturesque terrace and watched the... More

This is a wonderful place for a coffee, for crepes or for an overnight stay. The owner is a very nice man, Bernard, who sat and talked to us (a couple on bikes). He knows the hospitality business inside and out. The restaurant is tres chic! I wish we could have stayed here, but we were only biking through the... More

We visited this B&B and stayed there for three nights. The location was very much on the country side but it suited us perfect as we were looking for a relaxing vacation. There were many vine yards to visit and just an hour drive to the atlantic ocean. What we first of all will remember from Vertheuil is the fantastic... More

What makes this place so lovely, is Bernard, the owner, and his love for his bed &breakfast. The building is picturesque and old, and he has managed to create lovely en-suite rooms. The room was extremely clean, as was the entire place. We stayed in a large room that overlooked the Abby. The bed was the best we slept in... More

Firstly, Don't let the immediate area overwhelm your itinerary, head west! If you came for food and wine you'll need to walk, run, swim or even surf it off - get some fresh air. A very big, very real and alive expanse is not far. The deep forests and broad dune backed beaches 30-40 minutes west of Le V are... More

We stayed 3 nights while exploring Medoc. The location is very convenient, close to all best appelations. The room was large and overlooked the Abbey. Bernard is wonderful and very helpful host. Crepes and wine were also very nice :)

That spring is beautiful in the Medoc! Came almost by chance at the creperie The V, we were immediately charmed and seduced both by the excellent reception of Bernard and by his pancakes, with a glass of wine from the village. Nice terrace at the foot of the abbey (must see), Le V also offers several guest rooms, beautifully decorated... More

The b&b is a rustic converted bakery, the village is charming, and the creperie is popular with villagers. Bernard, who used to be a Captain in a five star New York hotel, is so welcoming that it's more like staying with family than a b&b. When we wanted the address of a laundrette, he insisted on doing our laundry instead,... More
