This was our first visit to Crete and we were very pleased with our choice of hotel.Any concerns we had about social distancing were removed as soon as we set foot in the hotel. We could see that a lot of preparation had gone into making the guests feel safe with excellent social distancing.
Check in at Reception was quick, efficient and helpful. The lifts allowed only 2 people at a time, and everyone inside the hotel was wearing masks. Our bedroom was in the main building and had mountain views and was very comfortable. The bathroom was rather small and had a shower over the bath which did concern us for health and safety reasons. The room was cleaned every other day, which was understandable under present circumstances.
The main restaurant was spacious and allowed you to eat inside or out. There was also the choice of two speciality restaurants,Greek or Italian, which were very good and very filling! The lobby bar was quick and efficient and waiters served drinks to the outside area. There was live entertainment outside some nights.
The hotels private beach was very long and very sandy, but there were plenty of sunbeds which were well distanced, and treated with disinfectant every day.The beach bar was very busy most of the time but the staff worked very hard and efficiently. We enjoyed the lunchtime beach restaurant so much that went there every day.The menu offered a choice of up to 4 courses of Greek food which was very enjoyable.
We look forward to returning to Agapi beach once the virus has been defeated!

Having had reservations about travelling abroad this summer due to Covid-19 we took a chance on a late deal to Agapi Beach

Overall we made a great choice, the hotel seemed well equipped regarding Covid and we were very pleased with our choice. The staff work very hard and make you feel welcome.

The rooms are comfortable although fairly basic, it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room though, this seems fairly standard in most hotels.

The restaurants are good with a good choice of food, although we preferred the 2 al la carte restaurants to the buffet. We also liked the Taka takeaway at lunch.

The ladies in the beach bar work so hard all day making sure everyone is served as quick as possible

I’d certainly recommend the hotel although for me the 2 changes I’d make before rushing back:
1, As a non smoker sitting eating breakfast or dinner in restaurants where people on the next table are smoking is horrible, maybe it’s acceptable for some but it’s not for me,
2, The all inclusive drinks menu is limited to mainly locally produced drinks, with branded drinks costing extra, in comparison to other hotels the all inclusive options are quite limited

Thé hôtel has very well adapted all set up with the current Covid-19 situation. The staff is very nice and makes all to serve the guests as well as possible. The food is very good as well and there is always a lot of choices.
In general we were happy with our stay in Agapi as it is also very well placed for shopping and trips.
However there was a very bad point reagrding the room cleaning. It was only done every 2 days which is not acceptable for an hotel with this standing. We understand of course that the towels have to be changed every 2 days but it is a very bad idea to think that guests does not deserve daily make up of their room. Just imagin the sand on the floor after a day on the beach.

Spent a week here.

Pros:
Friendly staff mostly
A beach is close
Clean rooms
We stayed in an upgraded room so it was ok but not worth the €200 per night

Cons:
There are way better beaches within a 20 mins drive
Food is ok, average quality and a little bland
Drinks are poor quality and a joke
No food available mid afternoon to evening except a poor quality 'street food' outlet
The folks try hard but the entertainment is terrible
We paid for a bungalow but it wasn't a bungalow. It was a room in a two floor terrace.

Wouldn't go back or recommend purely based on the price I'm afraid. I've stayed in better for less many times. Just about a 4 star hotel at a push.

We stayed at the Resort for ten days. We came back on the 25th of June. I can recommend to come here in early June because there is less people and its more calm. The Airport shuttle organized by the hotel was super professional and with all securities against covid. The Welcome in the Hotel was very very friendly. Daria from the reception was very professional and explained us everything. I can recommend to book a Bungalow because its a more quiet place to relax and have a good sleep. We were at the Room 606 with view on the garden and you are in 2 min at the Beach. The Beach Section is one of the best parts of the hotel. Theres plenty of space and everything is very clean and desinfected. There is a good social distancing and you have your own private Lifeguard. Taka Taka Streetfood was the best food we had there. Freshly made Gyros and Suvlaki and lots of pita bread. The food in the Main restaurant was sometimes cold and not always in best quality/variations. Only the greek specialities were made with love. The italian restaurant should be using more spices and there is really missing the italian flavour. The Taverna as well should arrange the dishes better. We want to mention this persons that made our stay very very lovely: Manos from the Main Restaurant, Giselle from the Spa, Maria from the Beach Bar and Rania our housekeeper. Only the distance at the restaurants and the wearing of masks for the guest should be checked more. PCR Test at the hotel worked out very good. In the last day the Reception even offered us a room so we can shower after sun bathing since we checked out at 11 a. m. and our flight was in the evening. If u want to have nice relaxing beach holidays then this Hotel is perfect for you! We wish the staff of Agapi all the best and hope to see u again!

Excellent stay at agapi beach!

we put a request in when booking and they supplied us with a cot in the room with fresh sheets and a bottle of whole milk in the fridge ready for the baby as it was 2am when we got there and no super markets were open.
The food was excellent, plenty of variety. The restaurant manager was there everyday greeting you in and was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.
All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially the animation crew. They were also at the kids club and were excellent!

The hotel is right opposite supermarkets which was handy for us to get milk for the baby everyday.

We had a bungalow which was very modern and clean.

There is a bus top outside the hotel which takes you to herkalion town for 3 euro return.

One day was cloudy so we rented a car to go visit rethymon. We rented a car from a place that was just opposite the hotel for 40 euro with a carseat. We did ask the tui rep in the hotel about renting a car and it was 78 euro. So going to across the street is a lot cheaper.

The only downfall was the steps going upto the pool and restaurant from our room as we had a pram. You just have to walk around a little longer way.

Overall excellent stay.

Left with a heavy heart.
As my reviews are always frank and honest. I can agree that looking at the photos on their website as far as the rooms are concerned is a lottle misleading. Furniture is tired and the shower was barely adequate. No aircon this time of year for us poor brits who consider 22° as high summer, they still have it turned to heat. BUT.. the investment in the bones of the place is clear in selected materials and the location has views of paradise. The staff are lovely, the food is varied and copious and if you go fully comp pretty much everything is covered. Towels are fluffy, linen is crisp and water supplied when the room is made up. Products are natural and add to the spa feeling of the place. The list of facilities are endless. Will be going back and when we came to leave I honestly shed a tear.

The Team who run this hotel work so hard and it truly shows. The bungalows are clean and so comfortable, the air conditioning is very efficient, lovely soft towels, small fridge, safe and bottled water left in your room daily. The food is varied, tasty an impressive selection, the tables are cleaned quickly in between guests. The pools are busy especially the main pool where unfortunately guest reserve sun beds from early AM but beds can always be found around the other 2 pools or on the beach. The beach for me was the only let down, it was very windy making the sea rough and not always possible to enjoy a dip. The bar staff are always at hand to make cocktails and look after all guests very well. Loved the Italian and Greek restaurants although make sure you go hungry as the portions are huge. All in all a fabulous hotel made better by its excellent team.

I went for one week all inclusive and I stayed in a double room plus with a sea view.
First I have to say thanks to Maria and Olga on the reception that help me to fix some mistake between TUI and my reservation. They solve all perfect.
Cleaning was really nice, I selected the cleaning each 2 days, they ask you your preference on the check in.
All the employees are really carefully about the current health situation, Maria of the Beach Bar, Jani on the Lobby Bar.
Special offers from the spa are really good explain by Gizyl who try to find the best option for the client, really careful and the service really professional.
I can't say nothing wrong, well the beach is quite windy but, for me was perfect.
Thanks for all.

I visited Crete for the first time. And immediately fell in love with this heavenly place on earth.
The hotel is perfect for a relaxing holiday by the sea. We lived in a bungalow, very clean and comfortable. The territory of the hotel is simply gorgeous, well-groomed with a lot of greenery with several pools, a volleyball court, a restaurant, a tavern and a cafe on the beach.
The beach is sandy with a blue flag, the sea is clean. The hotel operates on an all-inclusive basis. They cook very tasty and varied, food for every taste.
The staff is very attentive, cheerful, the service is great! Very cool team of Animators. They have fun all day long, in the mornings they bake pancakes and welcome guests, speak all languages! Witalij,Tomasz, Esmee, Beatriz, Angelina, Karolina, Geerten, guys you are the best! In the evenings, all kinds of entertainment.
The rest turned out to be wonderful, it was sad to leave.
Many thanks to all Agapi staff for your hard work!
The hotel is excellent, I recommend it!
Will definitely go back to Agapi.
