A charming setting in a beautifully restored old building. Our hostess was gracious and highly knowledgeable. Breakfast was remarkable and featured several local delicacies. We would definitely seek to return to this lovely inn.

We spent an extended weekend at De Rentmeestershoeve. There was plenty to see and do nearby, but the property itself was in itself worth the visit. The hostess was very charming and attentive. With her small gestures combined with the immaculate rooms and a delicious breakfast daily, we can warmly recommend this B&B.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for part of our honeymoon and Ann the owner could not have been more helpful or accommodating. The room, food and surroundings were just amazing. We have already decided to go back sometime in the future because we had such a great stay.

An, the owner of the property is the perfect Hostess. The choice for breakfast was excellent and all homemade or local produce as was the meal cooked for us on the Saturday night. the rooms are perfect and spotlessly clean, set in beautiful surroundings and gardens this B&B is one of the best we have stayed in. You're just too good to be true...great B&B, location, rooms, breakfast but nothing can beat the hospitality of the hostess. We were sceptical about B&B's but she did convince us offering a perfect balance between hospitality and privacy.

Our stay far exceeded our expectation for the price, such a tranquil and warm B&B. Our hosts went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable and informative. Highly recommended easy drive to Iepers :)

This was our second time staying with Ann at her gorgeous B&B and there is a reason for always wanting to come back. The rooms are beautifully appointed with all amenities (and beautiful views over the church and pond). The grounds are meticulously kept with a lovely outdoor seating area. A very generous breakfast is served in the morning with... More

Lovely room, tastefully decorated. Fabulous grounds and very pleasant reception and service tbroughout the stay. Breakfast isn't cheap, but you are unlikely to find one as interesting and such a pleasant, relaxed experience. Loved it.

My husband and I started our European trip with a night at De Rentmeestershoeve, and we thought we might have peaked at the very beginning! The hostess was fantastic; available and friendly when needed but never overbearing. Very comfortable bed, beautiful scenery, nice espresso maker, excellent breakfast, and a deep soaking tub. The landlord who runs the B&B is very kind and generous. We loved the styling and atmosphere. Perfect box spring beds, beautiful room with all the comfort you can think of. The breakfast was heavenly. There is a lot to see in the area. Around the B&B is it quite and peaceful. A little paradise.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The "Rentmeesterhoeve" is located on the historical site of the former manor of Reninghelst. What remained of the old farm, adjacent to the manor's foundations, has been transformed during 2007 and 2008 into an attractive and comfortable B&B. You'll wake up in the pastoral atmosphere of the inner courtyard and in the reassuring proximity of the Saint Vedast's Church, just as it used to be many centuries ago before the French Revolution. The "Rentmeesterhoeve" radiates an intimacy imbued with flavors of a long gone past. However, you'll be pleasantly surprised by its modern comfort. Here you'll find at last the peaceful surrounding you've been yearning for so long, while savoring your copious breakfast with a view of the old moat and the village church beyond. The "Rentmeesterhoeve" is the ideal starting point for many a fine spin on your bicycle, by far the best way to explore the Westhoek, the most western part of Flanders. You'll discover the panoramas of Heuvelland (the hilly country) and the hop-fields. You'll sample the local beers of Poperinge and Westvleteren, or a "picon", the appetizer of the French part of Flanders, over the border nearby... And above all, you're in the heart of Flanders Fields, so dear to the British and Commonwealth people, with its multitude of military cemeteries and monuments and the sacred city of Ypres only 12 km away ; whilst there, don't miss the Peace Museum and the daily moving Last Post ceremony under the Menin Gate. To make things easy, a network of both cycling and hiking routes (numbered) has been created in this lovely Westhoek area of ours. Our roads are easygoing, but beware, there are also some treacherous slopes. You can map out your own itinerary. And you'll meet appropriate signposts to keep you on the right track. One thing is certain: you'll always find a welcoming cafe to take a "refill", and after your efforts you can be sure, on returning to the "Rentmeesterhoeve", of a refreshing shower awaiting you. Heritage and history, nature and tranquility, gastronomy and friendship form a bouquet of opportunities to create a little heaven on earth... ... more   less
