The Buck Inn is a warm, comfortable place to stay. The staff are friendly and efficient, the landlady pleasant and chatty. The breakfast is a good size and set us up for a days walking. The evening meals we had were good basic fare. They serve a good choice of ale and is well kept. We didn't have any wine... More

The room was clean, cozy and well equipped with shower gel etc and hairdryer, in fact all you might want for a short stay. However, staff could be a bit more in tune wth guests and a bit more responsive. We were left waiting to be attended to whilst the member of staff completed bottling up!

We had booked Room 1 because I find climbing stairs difficult. We knew before we arrived that it was upstairs, but it was the best available. The room was very comfortable, as was the bed itself. The shower was great, although my husband had difficulty sitting on the toilet due to its proximity to the sink and his height. We... More

Relaxing two night stay using a Groupon voucher. Nice location in the small village of Malham, overlooking stream and wooded area. Adequate off road parking. Ideal location for walks to Janet's Foss and Goredale Scar (just over 1 mile away) and Malham Cove (approx 1 mile). These walks can be extended to include Malham Tarn. Stayed in Room 6, warm,... Three of us had 3 of nights in Malham. The new owners were busy doing improvements as they had only taken possession 5 weeks previously. Our rooms were comfortable and we had a delightful view of the woloded stream. Breakfast was a bit meagre but the service was excellent and we enjoyed the many walks. A lovely little village

Following a recent unplanned four night stay at The Buck Inn (due to a crisis in our rental cottage), we were extremely pleased to find The Buck under the new ownership of Karen and her son Steve. From the start, they were friendly, helpful and accommodating to our needs with good old Yorkshire hospitality at their core. Having frequented The... More
