We have recently come back from a weekend break at this fantastic hotel. You can expect a warm welcome and nothing in too much trouble. The staff are all friendly and the whole atmosphere is very chilled. The rooms are lovely and in keeping with the whole look of the hotel. The building itself is steeped in history and I could spend hours wondering around but I would probably get lost! The food is superb. Every dish we had tasted perfect and was really well presented. The dining room is superbly furnished and very relaxing. Malham is a perfect location and the whole experience of the weekend is a real home from home. I can't recommend this lovely hotel enough and can't wait to visit again.
The location of this hotel is beautiful, adjacent to a stream and with gorgeous seating areas next to it and in the lovely garden. Our room was small and simple but had everything we needed and the en suite bathroom was gorgeous. We took our Cockapoo Betty and she was so well behaved as were the other various dogs staying there. This hotel is perfect if you are a dog lover. The evening menu was good but we would have liked to see a little more choice. The breakfasts choice was perfect as were the staff, who were extremely helpful and polite. We would definitely like to return for another restful stay.
Very comfortable room and quiet. I know the hotel is dog friendly, but even as a dog owner myself I felt it as overrun with dogs! Just too many, all yapping. Perhaps a limit would be a good idea? Breakfast was OK, coffee a bit insipid. It is a lovely building with some good touches like the fire in the snug. Efficient staff.
From the moment we arrived we were able to relax and enjoy our short break for the two of us and our two pooches. There is a calmness to this place, located on the edge of Malham village; cross the stone bridge over the gently babbling stream. and feel your tensions ebb away . The Beck Hall Team were just fantastic, and were so helpful when we had to deal with an emergency (all's well that ends well!). The restaurant was well organised and service efficient and personal, and the food was of.a quality you would pay a lot more for in the big cities these day. The access all areas policy for our dogs was great, and it was a credit to the dog owning community that so many well behaved pooches were able to share the bar and lounge with barely a woof! Our room was comfy and had everything we needed. A great base for many walks around Malhamdale. We will be back for sure!…
What a wonderful 2 days, amazing staff, so accommodating for our 2 Great Danes nothing too much trouble, rooms lovely staff very attentive couldn’t have asked for more, even though the youngest Dane was a handful the staff were great with him. Definitely go again
This hotel is amazing! The atmosphere is so lovely, relaxing and genuinely friendly. Service is outstanding with staff very attentive and checking you don’t need anything on a regular basis. Never taken our dog to a hotel before, and it was clear that all the staff are genuinely very interested in you, your dog, and give you so much time. The food is excellent. Booked 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast direct with hotel and feel like we have had a real holiday. The setting is beautiful. Rooms and public areas all full of character. You have everything you need in your room. Will definitely book again. Thank you so much to all of the staff. So sorry to leave today. Room 7.
Beautiful location and the Yorkshire Tapas is excellent but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The first time we visited we had to ask twice for a second drink and even when we received it , the waitress had had to make it herself. On the second visit we left after going to ask for menus ourselves, it was clear no one was coming to serve us so we left. Disappointing!
Fantastic hotel and staff. Very welcoming who go out of their way to make you feel at home. Our little dog loved it and we will be back. Dinner was superb, as we're the cocktails. Fab stay- thank you.
Oh this was just the best. If you don't like dogs best not stay here. We love dogs and it was great to see a variety of different dogs with their owners. The room was very comfortable and clean. Think every room has a nice view. The staff very kindly did washing for us which we paid for. All the staff were charming and helpful. There were plenty of walks especially for the energetic. We certainly didn't stray far, as this hotel was too good not to enjoy more. The food was gorgeous. The restaurant had a lovely view of the stream. On warm days the doors can be opened. We stayed 3 nights could have stayed longer. We loved sitting by the burbling stream and enjoying a drink in the sunshine. The snug had a fire roaring, which would be even more enticing on colder days. Only slight gripe was jazzing up fish and chips! We will hopefully return in the not too distant future. …
Nice room (although a touch on the small size), comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Slightly odd heating arrangement which allows room occupants to control the heating in the bedroom but not in the bathroom without phoning up the front desk. However: check in was slow and clumsy, check out was very slow, and there were a number of situations during dinner and breakfast where serving staff forgot to do the thing they said they would do. The slow check in and check out seemed to be caused by only having one member of staff who is capable of handling (or allowed to handle) the relevant procedure working at any one time. In both cases there were other staff members close by who were not doing anything, but it seems that paying customers just have to wait. Next time I'm in Malham I will stay elsewhere.…
