Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a lovely weekend at the site, very peaceful with lovely views over the sea. Toilets and showers could be done with an upgrade as very dated. Others users friendly. Didn’t meet owners as received text with details

Site too busy. Packed in. Health and safety distance between outfits not always being observed which was a concern. Left after one night. Good location spoiled by overcrowding. Didn't use showers as they were too busy. No motorhome grey water facility.

We booked a camper van pitch at the front so it felt we were staying on the beach. The facilities were good and we loved the location. The added bonus of dolphin and seal sightings just added to the experience. Well worth booking and picking your spot for the view

Just spent the weekend relaxing at Portsoy Links Caravan park and what an amazing weekend it was. Staff where very friendly and helpful and the site facilities where clean and tidy. The location is fantastic, our pitch was right on the beach front and the view were amazing. We were lucky enough to spot plenty of wildlife including, Dolphins, Seals, Eider Ducks, Oystercatcher etc. Even though the site was quite full, it was peaceful and quite in the evening. It certainly was a relaxing weekend, and we will be back to spend more weekends in the future here.

We bring our caravan here twice a year to relax for a week. The caravan site is perfectly located, the facilities are great and the staff are so friendly. Just arrived home to Inverness and missing Portsoy already (again!), so we have booked another week in November 2022. We opened up the caravan windows at 6am every morning to watch the sunrise over the beach with our morning coffee, and you can see why from our photos. Nothing better than reading a book while listening to the sound of the waves. There are some wonderful walks from the caravan site and so much to explore in the town of Portsoy. The 17th Century Harbour is stunning. If you visit, it is well worth visiting Portsoy Marble. We have a growing collection of items from their gorgeous shop. The caravan site is perfectly located to explore them all on foot. We simply love the place.

Our family have just enjoyed a wonderful 10 day camping holiday at this site. Very friendly and helpful staff and the site and buildings were spotlessly clean. Beautiful views over the small sandy bay which is perfect for walking, swimming or just reading a book. Lots of seabirds spotted and also saw dolphins passing by. Plenty to see and do in the local area. Excellent food to be had in the Portsoy Bakeries, Ice cream shop and fish & chip shop. We will definitely be back to camp again.

Stopped off here on our way round the North East 250 road trip - and so glad we did! We deliberately booked a pitch without electric hook up-as we wanted the front row, directly onto the beach - wow! Great wee campsite, facilities were clean with good Covid measures in place and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend a stay here, esp the front row:)

We stayed here with our three children and had a wonderful time. Ian, Susan and Irene were all so helpful right from the booking to assisting with any queries we had whilst staying on site. They are so friendly and helpful and add a lovely vibe to the very beautiful location. Toilet and shower facilities extremely clean. Covid sanitising stations in place outside all toilet/shower facilities. We saw dolphins, made sandcastles, went for coastal walks from the bay and nearby in Cullen. Portsoy harbour is a walk around the corner and is very picturesque. Day trip to Glenlivet Estate in Cairngorms for brilliant biking. Spey Bay to try and spot dolphins and also lovely walk. Would highly recommend this site for its location and friendly, helpful people.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Portsoy. The caravan park (we camped) was just right... great location, nestled in its own wee bay and easy walking access around the town; great facilities; direct beach access; kiddy (small and a bit bigger!) playpark; lovely helpful staff. If you’re camping, ask to be located down at the beach front for direct, unspoiled views of the waves. Plenty of loos, hot showers and a laundry. The wider town of Portsoy is fab. Don’t miss J Donald the bakers!
