We tried the Omakases sushi bar within Hurley House Hotel. The sushi experience was absolutely amazing and tasty. There are 2
Sessions at 18.30 & 20.30. It is a priciest treat at £135 pp but we opted for the Dragon 16 course.
It only seats six people but it was worth it with the chef freshly prepared each course in front of you.
We were so welcomed, I cannot fault the host and sushi chef. We had a wonderful evening getting beforehand for cocktails.
We have been in the restaurant too and the menu, services and food are all excellent.
It is an exceptional experience for us sushi 🍣 lovers.
The Christmas decorations were added bonus and made the place magical.
The hotel only has sixteen rooms but each one was a totally 5 star standard.

Had lunch here recently for my wife's birthday. Group of 7, age range of 70+ to 8 years old. Everybody was extremely happy. Food, service and atmosphere all first class. Not the cheapest place to eat out but very good value considering quality of food, quantity of food and ability to please a wide range of requirements in our group. Covid arrangements both reassuring and unobtrusive. Cannot recommend highly enough

My husband and I celebrated a joint ‘big’ birthday at Hurley House Hotel this weekend and we were thrilled with the attention to detail and care taken to give us and our guests an incredible experience.

The pavilion is a hidden gem tucked away behind the hotel and restaurant. It comes with an incredible audio, visual system with superb lighting effects which made the party wonderfully warm and cosy.

The room was decorated with life-size beautiful trees and flowers and the team went above and beyond to make our party extra special. We used the stage for an all-female band called ‘High on Heels’ (recommended by the hotel) who were fabulous on vocals, sax, trombone and an amazing DJ.

The delicious food was supplied by Hibiscus who were brilliant across all courses and their service was excellent. Lots of dancing, great conversation and a feast was had by all, Hurley House and the team led by Rachel and Kelly were simply the best!

We visited Hurley House for an evening meal. Even before visiting, I had phoned with the booking and later on emailed a query. The phone was answered promptly- the email answered within 20 minutes! I was already impressed.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated and lit outside with lots of fairy lights and there was live music. Every single member of staff we came across that evening, was polite, helpful and just a pleasure to talk to. We were given a complimentary glass of pink fizz to start which was a nice start. Neither of us had ever had Japanese food before but we mixed it up and had some from the International menu and some Japanese. The food was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. There were a few theatrical touches with a dry ice topped cocktail, and complimentary chocolate truffles at the end of the meal with a dry ice display. They ordered a taxi for us and even walked us out to the taxi. It was an absolute pleasure having dinner here. Highly recommended.

Hurley House is an exceptional property. You would be hard pushed to find fault with any aspect. The food, service, accommodation are all excellent and the rates are reasonable. It was or anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make it special with a complimentary cocktail pre-dinner, chocolates in the room on arrival and after dinner. Would highly recommend. Thank you very much.

My mother lives in Hurley and we were looking to go there for lunch to celebrate her 83rd birthday this month. My mother called in Tuesday to see the place and asked for a coffee. The response ‘we are closed during the week you can’t have a coffee’ disgusting service especially given her age. Obviously we will not dinning there ever! The Olde Bell staff are always warm and welcoming at all times I recommend Hurley House is avoided.

Hello Whilst we do understand your disappointment, as mentioned by the duty staff member, we are closed to the public on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. During these days, we carry out all of our weekly maintenance work, which can be, noisy, dusty and hazardous sometime, even for a short visits by the public. We are sorry you feel that being closed constitutes “Zero care and Service”, and hope that you will visit us on one of our open days to experience for yourself the excellent level of service we are known for.

Enjoyed a birthday lunch for two at Hurley House Hotel over the bank holiday weekend. The sun was shining so we had the pleasure of dining al fresco on their stunning terrace. Both the food and service were simply 5 stars from start to finish. I highly recommend the Teryaki steak and Black Cod mains, both booked to perfection and generously served. What a hidden gem - we will be back.

I have enjoyed the food here on a handful of occasions in the past and it has always delivered on both service and food. This was the first time I stayed and I will definitely be back as soon as possible as the room was amazing and they had thought of everything which is super rare in any hotel of any standard. Loved it!

We stayed for two nights, Saturday and Sunday. We were rather surprised to be told, on arrival, that the bar and restaurant are closed on a Sunday. In other words, go and find somewhere else, in the middle of the country, to eat and drink, and then drive back here, where you can sleep. Had we known, we would have booked somewhere else.
Having said that, our room is very nice, with a good bed, a good-sized bathroom, and Floris bath products. There are some curious features, like plastic flowers throughout, which my wife found very tacky.
We entertained friends to a lovely Japanese meal, with the freshest sushi outside London. My only complaint is that the wine list is ludicrously over-priced. The cheapest bottle I could see was £45, and average price is close to £100.
If you are looking for a hotel for one night, with nice bedroom and good food, this will probably tick your box, but it has its shortcomings.

Wow what a gem this place is . From the moment we checked in to check out this was an experience to savour. The room was stunning, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful with no detail left out. We were booked into the restaurant for the evening and the food like the room was a stunning experience. The cocktail selection was terrific and again the staff were fantastic. I would say it wasn’t the cheapest around but you are paying for luxury here and both myself and my wife left the following day feeling totally relaxed and satisfied. Cannot recommend enough. We will be back for sure.
