Travellers' Choice
Our family-friendly park sits alongside the River Thames in the picturesque village of Hurley between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow and has been run by four generations of the same family for over 50 years. With direct access to the River Thames and the Thames Path we are perfect for lovers of the river and walkers alike. For those with a boat or canoe we have two slipways and for those without we have over a mile over river frontage for picnics. With the lush green countryside of the Thames Valley all around, red kites circling above, and the river traffic gliding it is hard to believe we are only an hour outside London. We have won the prestigious David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation for the last 15 years and even won their rare Special Distinction Award. To teach children about the local wildlife we also have a self-guided nature trail which follows the length of the campsite.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This park is fantastic, very well laid out with individual plots named after trees so not to crowded . The showers were lovely and hot and very clean ,although I think maybe in high season they could get very busy , but otherwise no problems there .

Brilliant site, very clean showers and toilets. Right by the river Thames, not far from Legoland and Windsor. Would definitely stay here again. Went to the village pub for Sunday roast. Also there is a small shop in the village, which carries most things.

This was our first time at Riverside Park and would definitely recommend..there had been a fair bit of rain prior to us arriving so a couple of pitches were waterlogged so some had to be moved to different pitches. From the moment we arrived one of the site managers Ray could not have been more helpful, once he realised I had a mobility scooter he moved us to a pitch closer to the road so I didn't have to struggle over the grass, he even offered metal runway strips if I needed them, so considerate and friendly and made us feel very welcome.

LEGOLAND was our destination. We chose Hurley Riverside Park to stay nearby for two nights in our campervan. Arrival & check-in was simple & straightforward. Our pitch was ample big enough for our van and awning. The park is lovely and the riverside walk takes you past some huge old trees. Red Kites all around, such huge and beautiful birds. Showers & toilets, washing-up and waste disposal facilities all great, well maintained and clean. We stayed two nights, giving us a full day at LegoLand just 20 minutes drive away. We’d love to stay again and will happily recommend this site to friends.

October half term visit with our caravan. This was a fantastic place and I have to thank the wardens for being so helpful and friendly. It’s a great place for walks. We walked to Henley and Marlow on the Thames path. The shower block was spotless. It’s great place and the pitches are big. Our tv was fine except when a plane flies over ( every 2 minutes) but that’s a minor glitch. It was very peaceful and dog heaven.

Been going to this campsite for over 14 years but this year especially was not treated very well. Charging for putting an awning up and taking our dog, which we have never paid for before. We got the several days before the children’s half term and was told they were fully booked but the site was very quiet. The caravan was on the hard standing but the awning was on grass which was mud we asked to move but got told we couldn’t as they were full booked and the operative was quite abrupt. Five days later our awning was mostly flooded in a few inches of water and they decided to move us. The operative was Ray and he was very understanding and apologetic. You can’t request a pitch number any more but we asked to be in a sunny pitch but definitely wasn’t. We will not be returning until they change their attitude

Thank you for your review and thank you for being a long term customer. We are sorry you were not happy with paying for an awning. We do struggle with awning damaging the grass as sometimes customers put down a non breathable ground sheet which kills the grass underneath the awning. Due to this we have to close some pitches during the year to allow the grass to recover and due to this we charge for awnings to cover the loss in income from these pitches being closed. It isn't possible to request pitch numbers unfortunately as this leads to some pitches being overused while others are not and this leads to issue of damaged grass being made worse. We are sorry that this visit did not meet your expectations but hope that you do choose to visit us again in the future.

We only stayed for two nights, I couldn’t fault the site at all. Lovely walks, very clean shower blocks and toilets, made to feel and very welcome on arrival. Very peaceful and quiet apart from owls hooting which was wonderful!

Nice clean and quiet site well maintained close to river Thames with Nice walks and lots of wildlife. Some aircraft noise depending on wind direction from Heathrow mostly quit high by the time they are overhead would not put me off staying again

As Hurley Riverside park cannot control the weather, there was nothing they could do to improve our stay! We absolutely LOVED this park, it was our very first camping trip, we're now struggling to find anywhere as good for our next trip. The facilities were exceptionally clean, the camp staff were so friendly and accommodating, it was just perfect. There are family shower rooms, indoor and outdoor washing up facilities, a lovely nature trail and play area and a stunning walk along the Thames, had the weather been nicer the children would have loved a paddle or even some fun on a boat if we'd had one. It is possible to hire them apparently but we were ever so busy off site with too much to explore! A local fish and chip shop 'oh my cod' was divine. Maidenhead has a huge Sainsburys and Argos for any forgotten needs with multistorey parking too. We will definitely return next year, it was a perfect base for getting the train from Maidenhead straight into London on the Jubilee line, Thorpe, Chessington and Legoland are all within 20-40 minute drive, Windsor castle isn't far at all as well as the signing of the magna carta and Cliveden. As both Merlin and National trust members Hurley Riverside park could not have been better suited for a fabulous 8 days of activities.
