How this pub is still open is beggars belief! The landlord is SO rude and miserable that anything positive to report pales into insignificance due to the landlords rudeness. They don't serve lunch during the week or serve food to residents at certain times and give them takeaway menus because they can't be bothered cooking which is preposterous! I could...

Stayed in a twin room with a work mate. Very clean and the breakfasts were spot on. The locals were friendly as were the bar staff. Majority of the residents were contractors. The shower/toilet were shared but caused no issues at all. Only small issue was the village has this 1 pub and nothing else, no shop, no other pub...

I stayed here for 5 nights and had 2 evening meals there which were good, every thing is nice and clean fresh towels everyday. Single rooms at least mine do not have a wash handbasin and i shared the separate bathroom and loo with wash handbasin so it was not much of a problem. They do have en-suite rooms but...

Booked this with booking.com as advertised as a deluxe room with en-suite 10 minutes from Bletchley Park. Room was £75 breakfast included and as we like country pubs chose it over some of the other offerings. We arrived about 6pm and were shown to room 8 a downstairs room on the side of the building. We had to go outside...

Such a shame that this place hasn't had the investment and maintenance it needs to bring it up to an acceptable standard. The downstairs/bar area smells of decades of fag smoke so clearly hasn't been refurbished since 2007 and by the look of it, well before that. Flies circled in the restaurant while we ate . Not nice and hard...

Stayed here while visiting TNMOC (about four miles away). comfortable room good food reasonably priced and good service. breakfast was excellant and quick. Prices were reasonable with the single room very good. I would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting a good old fashioned pub. The selection of ales was superb and well kept.

It pains me to say this and believe me I would prefer to say otherwise but the room we stayed at wasn't clean. The toilet had faeces marks on it, there was old green carpet in the bathroom. The shower cubicle was old and tired. There was a used cotton bud on top of the radiator. The staff were very...

Stayed here for 1 night. On arrival we where shown to a very tired and dirty room. I went down to speak to Steve, the owner, after finding thick dust everywhere, a used cotton bud on window sill and a toilet which clearly had not been cleaned. Steve came up straight away to clean toilet and give bedside cabinet a quick...

We stayed here the night before going to visit Bletchley Park. It is situated in a quite pretty village in the middle of the Buckinghamshire countryside. It was perfect for what we needed. Clean, rustic, and everything was on tap. We had an ensuite room on the ground floor which again was perfect as one of us has a disability...

This pub is over 200 years old so the bedrooms are not large and perhaps could be updated, however they are clean with plenty of hot water, with towels changed daily, tea and coffee and water(nice touch). Do not expect the ritz but they are value for money and in our opinion nicer than a chain inn etc wher every...
