A hidden gem situated in the Carmarthenshire seaside village of Ferryside nestling on the Three Rivers estuary enjoying superb views of Llanstephan Castle and Carmarthen Bay towards Caldy Island and Tenby. An idyllic setting. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Old chips found in the fridge! No real apology by reception staff. Not a great start. Hotel is shabby and tired. The view outside our room was spoilt with plastic boxes on the roof and old ornaments. Pool nice but jacuzzi cold slippery tiles on the floor. However dinner was lovely and service in dining room good. Deposit not accounted for when paying final bill so not a great end to our stay. Will not be returning or recommending.

Thank you for your comments about the dinner, we appreciate your feedback and it does boost morale. with regard to item left in the fridge we offered you another sea-view balcony room with apology but you preferred to stay in the room you checked in to. The view outside is across to the castle but the roof of reception is in front of that and the boxes you refer to are fan covers sorry, there is nothing we can do to alter the presence of "boxes". The front rooms, one of which you stayed in, the health suite and reception have all been refurbished in the last couple of years. We do not intend to refurbish the restaurant as our regulars and other enjoy it as it is. The bar is due to be refurbished at the end of the year and the patio area soon, depending on the wet weather. Around the jacuzzi there will be wet tiles because the water bubbles over and they are cold because we did not install underfloor heating around the poolside. The deposit was difficult to locate in the first instance because you had already cancelled twice before but as a good will gesture we transferred the £20 across and we only ever charge £20 confirmation and not £30 as you suggested. Thank you for your comments, we endeavour to make everyone's stay as comfortable as possible and we operate well within our Visit Wales 3* rating.

Stayed 1 night just me and my husband for a break away from the kids had a lovely warm welcome, the room we was booked in didn't have a view which it was nice enough went for a lovely walk then came back to receptionist saying we can have an upgrade to a bigger room with a balcony and view so we didn't say no. Went down the bar later for drinks and ordered food we had a lovely 3 course meal really enjoyed the food . Our room was lovely and clean . The swimming pool was great plenty of room and the spa was clean and lovely decor. Had a lovely welcome in the morning and a really nice cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Would highly recommend and definitely come back .

We booked afternoon tea for a special birthday. We upgraded to use the spa. Whilst the pool was clean the deco could do with a little upgrade. The steam room , sauna and changing room were lovely clean and modern. Finished our experience with afternoon tea. It was simply perfect. Great selection of sweet and savoury. Plenty of tea /coffee. The staff were so lovely. Attentive without being to pushy. Would definitely be coming back and recommending them.

Plenty of parking. Interesting and querky restaurant. Staff were friendly and we were served quickly. Prices were reasonable. Food was fine except for the beefburger and chips. The large pile of chips were soggy and lukewarm whilst the roll was toasted and inedible as a burger bun. The burger seems to have been repeatedly reheated given the texture. One of our group had a very upset stomach overnight and as this was an evening meal the link is fairly strong. The prawn cocktail was fine as were the other courses. Our 15 month old had no problem with his food.

The hotel is lovely, situated not too far from the station with plenty of lovely walks to keep you entertained. The staff that looked after us during our stay were excellent. The room was large with a separate bath and shower and large balcony overlooking the Estuary. The room had a fridge and hairdryer. The pool and spa were very good. The restaurant was excellent, good choice on the menu, superb taste and quality. Would highly recommend.

Exceptional, could not fault a single thing, I rang ahead for a banner and balloons to be put in the room for my daughters birthday, staff were more than happy to do this and they did a great job. The pool and spa was an added bonus and we enjoyed. The food was outstanding, so fresh and tasty, best we have ever eaten, evening meal and breakfast, We will definitely be visiting again, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, our room was spotless. Thanks so much everyone 😊 x

Third year in a row we have spent a week at this hotel and hope to return soon. If you want a peaceful relaxing time this is a place to be. Exceptionally clean and food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and ready to help at all times. We always book a balcony room and enjoy some spectacular sunsets.

Stayed 2 nights for work. Very comfortable room, big bed & all amenities you'd want, including a fridge in room, plugs next to the bed, hairdryer, decent size towels & tea/coffee. Meals in restaurant were lovely & decent breakfast. They have a good gym with range of Cardio & weights machines & free weights, & they were nice enough to let me in earlier so I could get on the road. Pool also looked very nice. All the staff are really friendly & helpful & it's got a very welcoming cosy feel.
