Called in for quiet bar meal on a Sunday evening, bar was full which was good however there was no division from bar to eating area which when seated had a pool table in centre of table areas and two televisions on different channels so in all was very noisy. Food very basic and disappointing, table unclean, will not be...

We visited April 1st, (not an April Fool) for lunch. This inn is now very dog friendly. Food was very good, portions are large so pace yourself. This is an ideal place for families, walkers, people passing through and locals who want good service and food.

My partner ordered the stroganoff with half rice and chips-we both felt the portion size of this dish was quite small but tasty none the less. Perhaps, a side of veg or...

Called in for tea and were welcomed like old friends. The food was all home cooked and delicious. Full plates for reasonable price. Highly recommended, couldn't fault the place. Clean and welcoming pub

The family met for breakfast on the day of the funeral and over 100 people were efficiently catered for with a lovely finger buffet...

A party of four of us visited on a Sunday evening. It is many years since we have been here and we were all pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome. A very cosy and friendly feel with a good menu. The roast dinner was excellent and we also enjoyed the chilli con carni and scampi. The very generous portion of...

Stopped at the Cross Keys for lunch on our way to Kielder Forest. Open fire on a cold November day and amazing home cooked food. The family owners were really friendly and welcoming and the bar has a level entry which really suited us as both my son's are wheelchair users. So good we stopped again on the way home...
