A visit for three days with my Daughter. We stayed in "The Coach House" at the back of the hotel in a beautiful suite. Bathroom to die for - spa bath, freestanding very large shower with digital controls. TV in the bathroom and BVLGARI toiletries. Granite flooring and plenty of towels. Beautifully appointed!! The main room was fabulous with easy chairs, a giant bed, remote controlled lighting with a beautiful outlook onto woodland through gigantic windows. Perfectly designed for comfort, peace and quiet. Great location for exploring the village and within easy walking distance of several extremely good restaurants (the hotel restaurant was closed because of lockdown)

Beautiful hotel let down by house keeping .
Heating broken but moved us to a new room to then find toe nail in bath room .
Went out for the day returned and no housekeeping had been done told receptionist again.,who sent someone to remove said toenail but still bed not made or clean towels .
Disappointing

Emily (Head Chef) and team , I had the best ever paneer curry with basmati rice in England today. Made my day. Thank you for an excellent dinner. 😀💃
Ian you have been feeding me nicely too. But just because Emily is a great female chef I thanked her first. Awesome Ian.
Thanks Craig Pete Nikki Natalie Jess Tom Toni Charlie Sumner for making my stay warm and nice.

Absolute rip off wedding bar prices. We bought a bottle of Sol and a Diet Coke and they charged us £9. Not only that but the coke was from a 2 litre bottom of Diet Pepsi and the first glass wasn’t even full and was the tail end flat stuff. Even the staff looked embarrassed to be asking for that kind of money.
How to ruin someone’s wedding when people can’t afford to really enjoy themselves. I expect increased prices but not that much. The staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing really overall with not enough chairs for the extra people at the night do.
It was a real shame as the building and gardens were lovely.

We had a full week of accommodation and meeting on site. The team at Contessa Hotels from Hillbark Hotel & Spa & Leverhulme could not be more accommodating and helpful. Amanda and the rest of the team definitely went way out their way to please and make sure the week went smoothly, definitely taking pressure off the company organiser. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They arranged after dinner events which were a real success the delegates are still talking about! At some point it was suggested that we could do with a carpet on our meeting room.... Amanda made it magically appeared overnight! Could not fault them! Highly recommend the venue, location and the team there.

We had the genuine pleasure of a one nights stay this weekend. A wonderful welcome from all the staff, a beautiful room with impeccable standards. A unique and special hotel.

The restaurant service was fantastic, fronted by the lovely Julie. The ambience of the Riveiera restaurant is wonderfully relaxing - and the food (we chose the tasting menu by a covering chef) was exceptionally good. A very memorable and much needed relaxing stay. A1! Put it down as a MUST stay and dine!!

This place used to be great but on my current stay the place was cold and they had so few staff that you had to go searching for people. It took 10mins just to find someone to check out. They need to get their act back together as it has lost its service edge and quirky warm welcome.

Attended a wedding party here back in October 2021 with my partner and some of his family. It was a cousin of my partners family’s wedding and everything was lovely the building is lovely and everyone had a good time. Bar staff were great the only downside was it’d have been nice to have the option of booking a room to stay over but rooms were not being booked at the time not sure if that’s now changed. We had to stay down the road at the nearest hotel!

Called into the hotel on the way to the Lady Lever art gallery to find it deserted all signage removed, parking gate dismantled, no sign of life. Enquiries at a local venue was met by confusion in the sense that it was known to be closed. There seems to be an illusion that it is open. I'd be grateful for any views.
