Not worth the money that I paid to stay at this hotel. Staff overworked failed to deliver correct information, spa facilities not fully in operation, and breakfast was the worst I have had. The meal at dinner however was fantastic and the Dungeon restaurant is a wonderful

Food is pretentious to say the least. Overly salty. Never asked if we enjoyed our meal once! Dungeon restaurant nice but lacked atmosphere for some reason. Room was basic, stayed in more memorable b&b's. Used the spa which was barely adequate - steam room not working, other dry

Booking a venue over Christmas from thousands of kilometres away, sight unseen, is very much a bit of a lucky dip. Reality often does not meet expectations established by glossy websites. We took the 2-day Christmas package of food and accommodation. What a great Christmas

Hi Tara, I'll be glad to answer your question, and btw, Tara is my daughter's name also. If you don't mind climbing many, narrow, stairs with your luggage because there's no elevator, without doubt the best room is the William Wallace Room. I took a group of 3 couples, we all stayed on the top floor, and the William Wallace Room was breathtaking. It was spacious, small balcony, PLUS, it's one of the most haunted rooms in Scotland ~S~. Feel free to contact me more about Scotland and Ireland. I live in Virginia.

Could you please advise if there are bath robes in the rooms.
Hi there! Yes, there were bathrobes in the room where we stayed that I believe you could purchase, but I was unclear as to whether wearing them meant an automatic purchase. They had slippers as well. However we stayed in the honeymoon suite so I don't know if that's something available in every room or just the suites.
