Thank you for your review. We unfortunately do not allow dogs in the Roman Camp Inn as we do not have a big enough open area for customers and dogs to sit in inside the building. Our ground floor consists of Bar , Restaurant and Residents lounge and each of these areas do not suit to accommodate dogs. We are however looking forward to opening our outdoor area where dogs can sit. It does not mean that we are dog friendly outdoors and many of us our dog owners ourselves

Having lived in Norfolk pretty much all my life I've lost count of the number of times I've driven past Roman Camp in the last 37 years and never been in until today. What a shame ! We stopped for lunch and were absolutely delighted with the food and service. The presentation of each and every dish cried out "care, passion and attention to detail" and the flavours were there to match, from the highest quality extra virgin olive oil on the salad accompanying the perfectly cooked whitebail to the little strips of lemon peel in the exquisite crab liguine which just took the potential richness off the crab - we were very impressed ! Highly recommend locals (and others!) don't make the same mistake I did and leave it so long to sample the delights - we'll be back soon. Thank you too to the waiting staff who were attentive, friendly and for whom nothing was too much trouble..... they even brought a bowl of water for our dogs to our table.

Thank you Kevin & Janice for your review. We are very pleased to hear you had a lovely stay and you found the Inn to be easy access right through which has always been our intention even when we opened 28 years ago and received an award from Anna Access then. We are always pleased to help where we can.

We have had dinner at the hotel restaurant 3 times and twice we have had cause to complain and received a refund. One this occasion my vegetables were served lukewarm and the souffle was like a sloppy quiche filling. It was so warmed up it looked like it had been left over from someone else's meal. The staff were obliging and polite and took the cost of my meal off the total bill.

Thank you for letting us know your thoughts on the food. We opologise for your meal not being up to our standards that we normally have. We are pleased however that you did not have to pay for an unaccepted standard of food. The Souffle,s are cooked to order and maybe this one was not cooked enough but definitely not acceptable. We do hope you put your trust in with us again and look forward to meeting you .

Lovely sandwiches, friendly attentive service. Couldn’t wish for more. Come here for lunch if at Felbrigg and avoid those queues. We really loved our visit and will return often. Also excellent outside space when weather permits.

We both chose the lamb shank Rogan josh curry. It sounded gorgeous on the menu but was very disappointing when it arrived. The mango chutney had a weird taste to it. The lamb shank was definitely frozen and the Rogan josh curry tasted like it was out of a jar. Very poor presentation and for £15 it was very over priced.

Thank you for your review . This review is a repeat of the one previously which we have already put a comment on. As before we can assure you this is definitely not a Frozen Dish but maybe not to everyone;s taste.

We both ordered the lamb shank rogan Josh which sounded amazing on the menu. It was very disappointing when it arrived, I think the lamb shanks were frozen and the organ Josh sauce tasted like it was out if a jar. There was no naan bread or poppadoms and at £15 plus a pop it was way over what it was worth.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, We are disappointed to hear your comments . The Lamb shanks are not frozen they come from our local butcher three times a week being a popular dish on the menu. The Lamb Shank on the menu is served with Lemon and turmeric Basmati Rice only. We make all our own sauces on the premises and the Lamb Shanks are cooked on a low oven for 10 hours. There is no mention of naan bread or poppadoms on the menu but we will have a meeting with the chefs to see if this is something that they can do going forward.
