Stayed here 1 night for a business trip - I think for the 3rd or 4th time. Whilst in this area, I would stay in this hotel out of preference. Price and quality are excellent. Rooms are clean and well furnished with good wifi. I had a reasonably priced dinner in the hotel bar. I am a coeliac and gluten...

Had a recent two night break at this hotel. Excellent room, very good food and very pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely old hall with open log fires and plenty of nice sitting areas. Situated in nice grounds just outside Gisborough, Although the hotel has a spa it is only for beauty therapy treatments. We were told that a leisure complex...

Booked a night here in the last weekend of November for our fourth anniversary and enjoyed it a lot. We had last stayed here over a year ago and found a good deal for dinner, bed and breakfast. From the outside the hotel is stunning, as is the very grand lounge. The service is faultless, as is the quality of...

Had a one night stay in this hotel and found it to be very comfortable. Hotel is an imposing building and as others have mentioned quite a rabbit warren of rooms and corridors, although the signposting is good. Decor and general condition of rooms, corridors, bars and lounges is of a good standard. Our room was 217 and was a...

I could not fault the service, both in the evening for Dinner in the Bar, or at breakfast, which was freshly cooked to order. The rooms were spacious, clean and with everything in working order. I should happily stay over here again, as this hotel surpasses most I have stayed at in the last ten years whilst travelling for business...

It always was a beautiful place. It has had several internal changes of style and decor ...and management...over the past 50 years. Yes, I went there that long ago. Right now it us going through a bright, light and "modern" phase...and the food is a victim. Don't get me wrong, there was absolutely nothing with what was on our plates, but...

A lovely rambling old building that looked as it does in the autumnal picture on my November visit. Nice clean comfortable spacious rooms. A bit of a warren and easy to get slightly lost but in a nice way. Lovely traditional decor with paintings and murals gracing the walls. Log fire burning in the lounge with a slightly incongruous modern...
