We stayed in the Silverbirch treehouse for 6 nights at the start of our honeymoon. First off, it was immaculate, easy to access, beautifully designed and secluded from the main area which has cottages.
This treehouse is ultimate self catering luxury while still being cozy. This treehouse is equipped with a wood-burner, sky light and near panoramic views of the country side. Down some steps you can access the hot tub which is in a magical, fairy-lit area with beautiful views. Robes are supplied so you walk down to the hot tub. The bathroom is very luxe with a goregous tub and huge shower. All the necessities are supplied plus more in the kitchen.
If you stay here then I recommend contacting the hosts and booking a gin tasting with Persie distillery. Fun experience and you can be collected from the lodges.
Overall, this accommodation is beautiful, thoughtfully designed and absolutely immaculate. Can't wait to return at a different time of year!

Just home after my second visit to Dalnoid,
this time we stayed in the Shepherds Hut.
Such a cute, cosy and perfect place to have a relaxing couple of days.
It's so tastefully decorated and quality furnishings and the hot tub was just perfect .
Towels and robes provided for the hot tub and seperate towels for the shower.
Was so nice to come in at night after being in the hot tub to a cosy Woodburn.
The views were gorgeous and the wildlife around the property was abundant.
Loved the wee honesty shop which has some handy things if you have forgot to take with you, also some tasty treats .

One of the only places I could find that have no hidden charges or tell you at the end of booking that extra charge for hot tub or logs etc. Everything is in the advertised price which saves you so much time trailing through internet if you have a specific budget !!

Already planning to book a third visit to try out one of the cottages 😀

We stayed for 4 nights for our honeymoon. We wanted a secluded, classy place? , with the noise of a stream nearby.
There are lots of different birds attracted to the feeders outside, and regular visits from red squirrels.
For birdspotters, you don't have to leave the balcony to see birds of prey, treecreepers etc.
The hot tub was perfect for any time of day, plus the new swing chair and picnic table.
In a lovely secluded location. There are no shops, pubs or restaurants in walking distance, but plenty of facilities in the area. Also close to Glenshee ski centre, ideal for hillwalking out of the ski season.
The welcome basket of treats was very much appreciated. There is an honesty shop on site with a decent amount of supplies, which saved us a trip or two out.
The other cottages on the site look just as nice, and we are definitely looking into returning next year.
It made our honeymoon very special, thank you!

I cannot recommend this place enough if you want a relaxing and luxurious break away!!! The views are to die for, hot tub and fire just bliss, all the little touches just made our break perfect!!! The accomodation is really well equipt and ideally situated to go in to the mountains ro ski, or to have a mooch around local towns and villages. We will be back for sure. Thank you!!

I had specifically looked for a tree house to stay in with my partner and had our own personal set requirements. From the website, the silver birch fit this. Upon arrival I was slightly disappointed to discover it isn't actually a tree house, more like a hut on short stilts. However, upon entering the property it was exactly how I imagined. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated and perfect for a couple. Although when you pull in you think you're on top of the other properties, once you get in you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, again exactly what we wanted. We often spent many nights under the stars and also in the rain in the hot tub. The log burner was so cozy and the views were just stunning. It's close to the cairngorms and about 30minutes from the nearest town/village. There is a little honesty shop on site and I must advise you buy the bird feeder as the little bird table outside the terrace is constantly busy with beautiful little birds if you feed them. Our stay was pleasant and unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owners but one day we did call them and they were extremely lovely. We definitely hope to return here and if anyone has any questions I'll happily answer as I highly recommend staying in this little gem if you're a couple.

Wow, this is definitely the wow factor. I had booked the Scots Pine Lodge for hubby's 60th surprise pressie and it met all expectations and more. The setting is spectacular, soaked in the hot tub every nite under the stars. The lodge is very contemporary and traditional at the same time. Sue and Phil were great hosts, Lots of complimentary luxeries, food hamper, candles and toiletries supplied. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for our anniversay in August. Location and views from balcony are fabulous and so private, wee little gem.

Stunning accommodation and perfectly located if you want isolation. Due to location, wifi isn't good so cant access tv channels or connect to phone but was a welcome digital break too. Make sure you take food for the wildlife as they are all around (the partridges love fat balls)!

This was an amazing get away with the family, after a long 18 months of lockdown and covid restrictions the Farm Cottage was the perfect place to spend 4 days with each other. Everything you could ever need was in the cottage and more, including an extensive library for all ages to borrow from. The hot tub was fantastic and a real hit with the kids. An excellent base to go exploring from and know that you were coming back to home comforts! Would highly recommend and we all can't wait to return.

This was our 3rd trip to Dalnoid however our 1st in Smiddy Cottage. It is of a similar very high standard to the others. We felt very safe and the Covid precautions were very much appreciated. The weather was good for walking and we took advantage of this visiting Alyth, Aberfeldy, Lintrathen, Glen Isla and Pitlochry knowing we had the hot tub to look forward to on our return and the log burner to enjoy thereafter. Complimentary basket of goodies was very nice touch too. The addition of the honest shop on site is great. A very relaxing and restful stay.

Is there any pubs nearby that allow dogs into them and also server food :-)
Answer from Sue S
Spittal of Glenshee, United Kingdom
There are no pubs within a short walk of the cottages, but the hotel at Bridge of Cally and Strathardle Inn in Kirkmichael both allow dogs in the bar and also serve food in their bars and restaurants - they also both have beer gardens if the weather is kind! Hope that helps Sue
